It turns out Cherry Mobile is also positioning itself at the forefront of the online retail revolution, alongside other players like Xiaomi, Huawei, and Lenovo. The company recently announced the creation of a new sub-brand — Cubix — whose focus is on smart devices that will be sold through Lazada Philippines’ website.
Cherry Mobile announced a sub-brand — Cubix — whose focus is on smart devices that will be sold through online channels.
The Cubix Cube marks the brand’s first foray into the mobile industry. It has a 5-inch, 720p on-cell display and an octa-core processor MediaTek processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. Other attractions include dual-SIM slots, 13- and 5-megapixel rear and front cameras, and a 2,000mAh battery.
The Cubix Cube is priced at P4,490 and will be available on Lazada Philippines June 26th onwards.
When asked what’s on the immediate horizon for the Cubix brand, Cherry Mobile product manager Lonson Alejandrino told me to expect more aggressively priced devices in the offing. That’s good news for consumers, right? Here’s hoping a flagship-grade Android phone or tablet is among them.
