Globe Telecom has announced a new low-tier, SIM-only postpaid plan that costs just P499 a month, but comes with a decent amount of data and unlimited calls and texts to Globe and TM subscribers.

The subscription also includes 1GB of data for use in Spotify Premium or video-on-demand service HOOQ for three months on top of the 3GB monthly allocation, as well as 1GB of cloud storage on Globe Cloud. The catch, though, is that the P499 plan is only available until the end of the year.

Globe’s SIM-only Plan 499 includes 3GB of data and unlimited calls and texts to Globe and TM users.

3GB may not be enough for everyone, especially for those who rely on a data connection in their home, but it should be sufficient for consuming information online through social media and blogs. Of course, you can throw in a short cat video, or a movie trailer, every once in a while. As someone who works from home, I can definitely see myself being fine with the stingy data allowance.
