(Update, March 20: The vivo V30 Pro 5G and vivo V30 5G are official in the Philippines!)

The company has revealed that the vivo V30 Pro 5G will be launched in Thailand February 28. The regular vivo V30 5G, which was announced more than a week ago, will go official in our neighboring Southeast Asian country on that day as well. We’re still waiting for a launch date in the Philippines, considering that the brand already confirmed in January that the vivo V30 series will be released here.

Now we’re quite excited about the vivo V30 Pro 5G. After all, it’s now clear that the handset will be the first vivo V series smartphone to be co-engineered with German imaging manufacturer Zeiss. That partnership has been reserved for the company’s premium devices, such as those from the X lineup. Until now, that is. So expect the upcoming phone to be more camera-centric than ever.

vivo V30 Pro 5G (and vivo V30 5G) launch announced for the Thai market

Based on the specs that appeared on Geekbench, the vivo V30 Pro 5G comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor, an option with 12GB of RAM, and an Android 14-based user interface.

Other leaks claim that the unit boasts three 50-megapixel cameras on the back and a 50-megapixel shooter up front. It is supposedly equipped with a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with 2,800 nits of peak brightness and up to 120Hz refresh rate, a 5,000mAh battery with 80-watt charging support, and IP54 dust-and-water resistance rating.
