OPPO is shaking up its marketing strategy, partnering with members of the hugely popular K-pop group BSS (SEVENTEEN), the subunit of the K-pop icon SEVENTEEN, to promote its latest Reno11 series smartphone.

The company recently announced that Seungkwan, DK, and Hoshi of BSS (SEVENTEEN) will serve as OPPO Reno Experts across Asia-Pacific markets. The announcement coincides with the launch of the OPPO Reno11 F 5G in key markets, including the Philippines.

The move also underscores the company’s commitment to connecting with younger generations. Partnering with K-pop stars, particularly a subunit of a group as influential as SEVENTEEN, signals an understanding of how fandom and social media may drive trends among the global youth audience.

Locally, the OPPO Reno11 F 5G has a suggested retail price of P18,999, or roughly $342 converted, for 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone comes in three nature-inspired colors — Palm Green, Ocean Blue, and Coral Purple, with the latter introducing the brand’s Magnetic Particle Design, which we seriously dig. OPPO introduces BSS (SEVENTEEN) as its newest Reno experts

If you preorder until tomorrow, March 22, you can avail yourself of goodies such as a free QX7 Pro smartwatch, as well as exclusive perks like 4,500 Mabuhay Miles, Pickup Coffee points, food vouchers, and even shopping gift codes, through the MyOPPO app.

BSS (SEVENTEEN) has garnered significant attention with hits like Just Do It and Fighting (Feat. Lee Young Ji). Their energetic performance style and upbeat music align with the Reno series’ focus on creative expression through photography.

As part of the collaboration, BSS members star in a promotional video showcasing the OPPO Reno11 F 5G’s camera features. They highlight tools like Smart Image Matting and AI Portrait Retouching for enhanced selfies and creative portraits. This campaign aims to leverage the group’s popularity, demonstrating to potential buyers how OPPO’s newest Portrait Expert can help them express themselves through photography.
