Gear up, foldable fans! Samsung has dropped the official date for its next Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for July 10, 2024. The venue this year is Paris, France, aligning with the South Korean technology giant’s role as a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner for the 2024 Games.

The main attraction, as expected, is the unveiling of Samsung’s next generation of foldable smartphones — the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6. While rumors suggest these might be iterative upgrades, including a bigger battery for the new Flip and a boxier design for the upcoming Fold, the inclusion of the company’s Galaxy AI tech promises some interesting possibilities we may have or have not seen before.

Specs-wise, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 is rumored to sport Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 under the hood, alongside a 50-megapixel rear camera and a 7.6-inch main display, while the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 is expected to pack the same processor and a 6.7-inch foldable screen that’s the same exact size as the previous model’s. The resolution will reportedly be similar, too, with Samsung’s next-gen flip phone likely offering a 2,640 x 1,080 resolution.

One of the many leaks

Head over to Samsung Philippines’ official website to register for the event and snag an exclusive e-voucher for up to P7,000 (around $119) off the new foldables, valid until July 30. Preordering also enters you into a raffle for a 65-inch Samsung Neo QLED 4K TV worth P135,999 ($2,310).

The Philippines, being a key market for Samsung, can expect local preorders to start shortly after the global launch, likely with enticing early-bird deals.

For the Philippine market

There’s more: The brand is also expected to showcase the next iteration of its popular wearables — the Galaxy Watch7 series and Galaxy Buds3 lineup. The biggest wild card, however, might be the Samsung Galaxy Ring, a personal AI-powered wearable first teased earlier this year. Details are still scarce, but Samsung has hinted at it being a “powerful and accessible” health and wellness device.
