Xiaomi has never released its foldable smartphones globally. But that might change this year.

(Update, July 16: We have the Xiaomi Mix Flip launch date!)

The Xiaomi Mix Flip, the company’s first clamshell-style foldable which first surfaced in an IMEI database in China last year, has been spotted on more certification authorities’ websites, hinting that the device will launch in international markets.

The Mix Flip has popped up on the site of TÜV Rheinland and Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission. Recall that the said model was recently certified by Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority and seen in the IMEI database of GSMA, the organization that organizes the annual Mobile World Congress event dedicated to the mobile-communications industry.

Coming to global markets soon indeed? Xiaomi Mix Flip, which has the model number 2405CPX3DC, receives NBTC and TÜV Rheinland certifications

Word has it that the Xiaomi Mix Flip is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It supposedly features a 1.5K screen, a 50-megapixel primary rear camera with optical image stabilization, a 60-megapixel telephoto with 2x optical zoom, a 32-megapixel selfie sensor, and a 4,900mAh battery that supports up to 67-watt fast charging.

And the image below might show an actual Mix Flip.

Could this be the Xiaomi’s first flip-type foldable?

Take that with a grain of salt. Still, we can’t help but think the device will make its worldwide debut at any time soon, probably after the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6’s rumored July announcement. Here’s hoping this Mix will be made available in the Philippines, too.
