Recall that the HONOR Magic6 Pro officially landed in the Philippines last May with a suggested retail price of P59,999 (around $1,043) for the lone configuration with 12GB of physical RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

First up, mark your calendars for October 23, when HONOR pulls back the curtain on MagicOS 9.0. This new Android 15-based skin promises a fresh coat of paint for the brand’s devices, and it’s likely to be a key feature of the upcoming Magic7 series.

Speaking of, HONOR’s next flagship phone lineup, which may consist of a vanilla model and a Pro variant, is set to officially launch in China on October 30. While HONOR has been tight-lipped about the specifics, rumors are swirling about what we can expect.

Under the hood, the HONOR Magic7 phones are said to be powered by Qualcomm’s next-gen Snapdragon 8 Elite. This powerhouse chip is poised to be a performance beast, with a base frequency of 2.78GHz and a peak of 4.09GHz, but talks of thermal throttling and power consumption issues might have tempered some of the excitement. Early reports indicate the chip could draw over 20 watts of power and hit a scorching 98.5 degrees Celsius even under normal use.

Elsewhere, leaked hardware specifications of the HONOR Magic7 Pro paint a picture of a premium device. A 6.82-inch 2K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Kunlun Glass protection is expected, along with a triple rear-facing camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 50-megapixel ultrawide. A third 50-megapixel or 200-megapixel sensor is also rumored, potentially offering impressive zoom capabilities.

To keep the lights on, the Magic7 Pro may include a massive 5,800mAh battery that supports 100-watt wired and 66-watt wireless charging. Durability is also likely to be a major highlight, with leaks suggesting an IP68 or even an IP69 rating for resistance against dust and water ingress.
