HONOR 400 Pro, HONOR 400 launched globally: AI takes center stage

HONOR has just pushed the HONOR 400 Pro and HONOR 400 out globally, hitting markets like the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, and Malaysia.

The big play here, it seems, is less about raw power and more about smart features and a surprising commitment to longevity. We’re talking six years of Android OS updates, which would take these smartphones all the way to 2031. That’s a pretty bold move.

So, what are we getting? Both the HONOR 400 Pro and HONOR 400 pack a hefty 6,000mAh battery. That’s a significant number, and the company’s backing it up with 100-watt SuperCharge wired charging, meaning less time tethered to an outlet. Camera-wise, the Pro model is leading with a 200-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and a 12-megapixel ultrawide. The standard 400 still gets that impressive 200-megapixel main shooter and the 12-megapixel ultrawide. And for all your selfie needs, both sport a 50-megapixel front camera.

But really, HONOR’s making a big deal out of the AI — a focus it has clearly been pushing, having highlighted it at MWC 2025 in Barcelona, Spain, and something we at Revü Philippines saw firsthand during a visit to its Beijing, China, office. The HONOR 400 Pro, for instance, touts a 50x AI Super Zoom, while the regular version settles for 30x. It’s also pushing features like AI Portrait Snap, designed to keep moving subjects sharp in your photos, and an AI Editing Suite that can do things like turn your still images into five-second videos or erase unwanted people from busy shots. Then there’s AI Subtitles for real-time speech-to-text and AI Translation for breaking down language barriers. All of this runs on MagicOS 9.0, built on Android 15, and includes some of HONOR’s unique offerings like AI Magic Portal 2.0 for content sharing and AI Deepfake Detection.

Now, for the internals. The HONOR 400 Pro is running on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 5G processor, which is pretty much the top-tier chip right now. The HONOR 400 steps down to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, still a solid performer in the midrange. Display-wise, you’re looking at a 6.7-inch quad-curved AMOLED on the Pro, and a slightly smaller 6.55-inch AMOLED on the standard variant. Both hit 1.5K resolution with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. As for durability, the Pro gets an IP68/69 rating, making it quite resistant to water and dust, while the regular 400 gets IP66. Oh, and the Pro also adds 80-watt wireless charging to the mix, which the base model misses out on.

Pricing and availability

If you’re in the UAE, Singapore, or Malaysia, preorders are already live, with the sale happening later this month. Pricing in the UAE starts around Dh1,399 (roughly P21,183 or $381) for the HONOR 400, jumping to Dh2,499 (P37,839 or $680) for the HONOR 400 Pro. In Singapore, it’s S$899 (P38,738 or $697) for the Pro and S$599 (P25,813 or $464) for the standard. Over in Malaysia, you’re looking at RM2,199 (P28,700 or $516) for the HONOR 400 and RM2,699 (P35,227 or $633) for the HONOR 400 Pro.

As for when all of either of these phones will hit the Philippines, that remains to be seen, but it’s worth noting the HONOR 200 Pro was priced at P29,999 ($539), and the HONOR 200 retailed at P24,999 ($450).
