(Update, May 26: The OPPO Pad SE has arrived in the Philippines!)

It looks like the spiritual successor to last year’s OPPO Pad Neo, a solid metal slate that landed with 4G connectivity and positioned itself as a reader-friendly device. Design-wise, the OPPO Pad SE sports a familiar look, though it differentiates itself with a modern flat frame, a departure from the rounded edges of its predecessor.

In a recent press release, OPPO confirmed the tablet will soon be available nationwide in Starlight White and Twilight Blue color options via both online stores and physical retailers. While an exact launch date wasn’t provided officially, a quick look around led us to a Shopee listing for the Wi-Fi variant, indicating local availability starting May 26.

Early birds who purchase the OPPO Pad SE on Shopee between May 26 and June 15 will get some exclusive freebies, including a protective case, a P1,000 (around $18) product voucher from the company, and an additional P1,000 ($18) voucher courtesy of Shopee. Plus, you can grab the tablet on the platform with a six-month, 0% interest payment plan.

Shifting to the internals, while a full spec sheet isn’t up on its official site just yet, OPPO has confirmed some key features. The Pad SE packs a generous 9,340mAh battery, which is said to last up to 800 days in power-saving mode. Other confirmed highlights include a display with “eye care” protection, a dedicated Kids mode, and the integration of Google Gemini as its default AI assistant, running on ColorOS.

Previous rumors suggested the tablet might feature a MediaTek Helio G100 chipset paired with 4GB of physical RAM, 128GB of internal storage, a 10.95-inch display, and support for 33-watt wired fast charging.

For context, the 4G-capable OPPO Pad Neo launched last year in the Philippines with a price tag of P15,999, or roughly $287 converted.
