HONOR is making waves again, and this time, it’s not just about cutting-edge smartphone technology. The upcoming HONOR 400 5G, set to launch in the Philippines on June 17, is already turning heads — not just for its AI-driven features, but for the jaw-dropping preorder perks that have surfaced ahead of the official announcement.
Rolex, Hermes, and nearly P10,000 ($178) worth of freebies
If early leaks from HONOR Experience and partner stores are anything to go by, preordering the HONOR 400 5G could land you some seriously high-end prizes. The brand is reportedly giving away a Rolex GMT Master II Green Arrow worth P600,000 ($10,697) and an Hermes Lindy Mini valued at P420,000 ($7,488), bringing the total giveaway pool to a staggering P1 million ($17,828).
HONOR isn’t new to luxury raffle prizes. During the HONOR X9c 5G launch, a Rolex was up for grabs. But this time, the stakes are even higher, doubling the prize value and fueling excitement among early adopters.
Beyond the grand prizes, spotted preorder freebies include the following:
- HONOR Earbuds Clip (P4,999 or $89)
- JBL Go 4 speaker (P2,599 or $46)
- Jisulife Handheld Fan Pro1 (P1,799 or $32), available only if you claim your order on June 28, the first-sale day
That’s a total of P9,397 ($168) in freebies, making the preorder window — from June 1 to June 27 — a tempting opportunity for those looking to upgrade.
AI that brings photos to life
HONOR is calling the HONOR 400 5G “Your AI Phone,” and it doesn’t seem to be just marketing fluff. The phone’s standout AI feature is its ability to animate photos using artificial intelligence, turning static images into lifelike video moments. It’s an interesting twist on smartphone photography, blending memory preservation with cutting-edge tech.
The device has already made its debut in markets like Singapore and Malaysia. One of the biggest surprises? A six-year Android OS update commitment, theoretically keeping your unit relevant until 2031 — though it’s still unclear if this promise will extend to the Philippine release.
Spec-wise, the global HONOR 400 5G packs a 6.55-inch AMOLED screen with a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate and uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 5G processor. The camera setup is headlined by a 200-megapixel main rear sensor, backed by a 12-megapixel ultrawide, and a 50-megapixel selfie shooter. Battery life shouldn’t be a concern either, thanks to a 6,000mAh cell with 100-watt fast charging. There’s even an IP66 rating for splash resistance.
Of course, global specs don’t always translate directly to local releases, and we’ll have to wait until June 17 to see what HONOR officially brings to the Philippines — including pricing — so catch the livestream on Facebook if you’re already eyeing the company’s upcoming smartphone. For reference, the HONOR 400 is priced internationally from $381 (P21,370).
