Looks like HONOR Philippines is hinting at something new, and it smells vaguely of artificial intelligence.
The company has dropped a few teasers online, all pointing to an AI phone that can seemingly “bring photos to life” using its latest AI technology. The posts show HONOR is betting big on generative AI features directly integrated into the camera and gallery experience, animating stills or performing more complex edits previously reserved for desktop software. Two of the most recent teasers show a snack and a painting turned into moving images.
One of the many teasers shared by HONOR Philippines
HONOR Philippines vice president Stephen Cheng is quoted saying, “Filipinos deserve to get introduced to the real AI phone,” which, you know, is a statement.
So, what could the device be? The brand’s post showing the camera cutout of the smartphone could be the most telling. It is similar to the camera bump design we have seen on the HONOR 400. Make of that what you will.
Hmm, this one looks familiar…
If the upcoming handset does indeed turn out to be the HONOR 400, it would mark the latest entry in HONOR’s N Series to hit the Philippine market. The last number models to arrive locally were the HONOR 200 and HONOR 200 Pro, which we at Revü praised in our reviews for their camera capabilities and overall performance. A follow-up with enhanced AI features would be a logical next step for the lineup. We will be keeping an eye out for more concrete launch details as HONOR decides to spill them.
