After its recent local reveal, the TECNO POVA 7 is now officially on sale in the Philippines, effective today, June 26.
This POVA 7 series smartphone is available in two configurations: 8GB RAM with 128GB storage for P6,999 (roughly $124) and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage for P7,999 ($141). For those aiming to catch a launch deal, TECNO is offering special TikTok First Sale prices, bringing the base model down to P5,999 ($106) and the other variant to P6,749 ($119) as part of its online Back to School campaign.

The POVA 7 arrives with TECNO’s signature Interstellar Spaceship Design, a rather ambitious moniker that translates to a matte finish with unique triangular geometry and simulated rivet decorations. If you’re tired of the same old slab, it definitely stands out in Geek Black, Magic Silver, or Hyper Titanium. The device boasts an IP64 dust and water resistance rating, which is always a welcome addition for a unit in this segment.
Underneath that eye-catching exterior, the TECNO POVA 7 is packing a 6.78-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1,000Hz instant touch-sampling rate. This should translate to a fluid and responsive experience, especially for those marathon gaming sessions. Driving the whole show is the 6nm MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate chip, which TECNO claims hits a respectable 446,335 on Antutu.
The POVA lineup is synonymous with one thing, though: battery life. And the POVA 7 doesn’t disappoint, rocking a colossal 7,000mAh battery. TECNO is throwing around some big numbers here, touting 36.76 hours of daily use and a staggering 1,800 charging cycles, which it claims is equivalent to four years of robust battery health. When it does run low, the included 45-watt Flash Charge brick can get you to 50% in 30 minutes in Smart Charge mode, hitting a full charge in about 70 minutes. Plus, it features low-temperature charging for peace of mind.

For optics, the phone sports a 108-megapixel main shooter, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. While megapixel counts don’t tell the whole story, it’s a solid offering for its class. Where things get particularly interesting are the unique features like FreeLink, which allows for messaging and calls within a 500-meter range even without signal, and PinPoint Nav 2.0 for improved positioning accuracy.
TECNO is also leaning heavily into AI with the POVA 7. We’re talking AI Anywhere Portal for quick access to tools, Ask Ella for smart assistance (think summarizing content or even identifying landmarks from a photo), AI Full-Link Call Assistant with translation and noise cancellation, and AI Writing for text generation and proofreading. And of course, there’s Circle to Search, letting you circle anything on screen for instant search results. Creative types will also appreciate AI Studio for image creation and editing with features like AIGC Portrait 2.0, AI Eraser, and AI Image Extender.
Rounding out the software experience, TECNO is introducing system-wide customization with user-defined icons, fonts, and dynamic wallpapers, all within what the Transsion Holdings brand promises is a “clean, bloat-free interface” running on HiOS 15 based on Android 15. The focus is on a visually expressive, distraction-free experience with a neumorphism-inspired design.
And for the gamers out there, the company has solidified the TECNO POVA 7’s street cred by naming the POVA 7 Series as the official smartphone partner for both the PUBG MOBILE Challenges League SEA (PMCL SEA) and the PUBG MOBILE Super League SEA (PMSL SEA).
