Chinese brand vivo has officially announced a new sub-flagship smartphone. This time, it’s taking aim at the compact-phone crowd with vivo X200 FE, which packs premium specs into a smaller, more pocket-friendly design.
The device officially launched today in Taiwan, with a broader international rollout planned for the coming weeks. It’s set to hit Hong Kong and Thailand on June 26 and July 3, respectively, while preorders are already live in Malaysia ahead of a June 30 release.
A Philippine launch is plausible, but make no mistake: vivo’s move to debut in Taiwan first is a calculated one. The company currently holds an 11% market share in the premium-heavy Taiwanese market, placing it third behind industry titans Apple and Samsung.
Available in four colorways — namely, Blue Breeze, Yellow Glow, Pink Vibe, and Black Luxe — the vivo X200 FE is priced at NTD 26,999 (around P52,218 or $909 converted) for the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage variant. In Hong Kong, the new model costs HK$5,498 (P40,129 or $700). And in Malaysia, leaked pricing details suggest the device will sell from RM2,999 ($698 or P40,102). If the design and specs look familiar, that’s because the X200 FE appears to be a rebranded vivo S30 Pro mini, which launched in China last month.

Under the hood, the X200 FE punches above its weight class. It’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Plus, the same flagship-grade chip found in the recently announced vivo T4 Ultra 5G and last year’s Xiaomi 14T Pro. That SoC is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. On the software front, it runs vivo’s Funtouch OS 15, based on Android 15.
Up front, you’ll find a 6.31-inch LTPO OLED display that delivers up to 120Hz refresh rate and a claimed 5,000-nit brightness. Despite the vivo X200 FE’s slim 7.99mm profile and manageable 186-gram weight, the company managed to cram in a massive 6,500mAh silicon-carbon cell. The entire metal-clad build is also IP68/69-certified for dust and water resistance. vivo claims the battery is good for 25 hours of continuous YouTube playback or 9.5 hours of gaming. When it’s time to top up, the included 90-watt fast charger can take the battery from zero to 100% in just 57 minutes.
The camera system on the rear is equally impressive, featuring a Zeiss-backed camera array. Headlining the setup is a 50-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.88 aperture and optical image stabilization. It’s complemented by a 50-megapixel telephoto and an 8-megapixel ultrawide. For selfies, you get a 50-megapixel shooter on the front.
