Remember the Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2-inch 2025 we checked out a few months back? Get ready, because apparently, its slightly more compact sibling is due for release in the Philippines soon.
The Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2-inch 2025 is scheduled for a July 11 debut in the local market. Huawei is calling it a “genius tablet,” promising PC-level productivity and performance in a portable package. In the Philippines, the MatePad Pro 12.2-inch 2025 will be available through the Huawei Online Store, Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.
From what we’ve gathered from the PR material sent to us at Revü, it looks like this upcoming premium tablet will arrive bundled with Nearlink 2.0 accessories, including the latest M-Pencil stylus and a keyboard cover with a dedicated stylus compartment — at least for the initial launch.
Huawei Philippines’ press release
On the software side, the device will ship with free lifetime access to the desktop edition of the WPS Office Suite 2.0 app. This means you can effortlessly create and manage documents, spreadsheets, and presentations with full desktop-level functionality on the go.
You’ll also find the improved Huawei Notes app with AI-powered tools preinstalled, alongside the GoPaint app. The latter now boasts 3D Oil Painting and True-Color brushes, designed to replicate the rich, textured feel of painting on a canvas. Additionally, the upgraded GoPaint app introduces a new animation feature, allowing simple images to move, helping users of any skill level bring their creations to life.
Coming July 11!
As for the hardware, the Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2-inch 2025 sports a 12-inch OLED PaperMatte display. And despite that generous screen real estate, the device remains remarkably thin at just 5.5mm — excluding the camera bump — and weighs in at a mere 512 grams. Powering the whole ensemble is a 10,100mAh battery, advertised to deliver up to 14 hours of battery life on a single charge.
