Timezone, the global family entertainment giant with over 320 locations across seven countries, has officially unveiled its newest attraction in the Philippines — ColourGrid.
This vibrant, high-tech game is now open at Timezone Ayala Malls Manila Bay, marking its inaugural installation in the country. We’re told that this is just the beginning, with plans to bring the ColourGrid experience to more local Timezone venues in the near future.
So what exactly is ColourGrid? Imagine stepping into a vibrant, high-tech arena of responsive, color-changing tiles. It’s an immersive experience that challenges players to dash, jump, and strategize their way to victory. Whether you’re flying solo or teaming up with up to five friends, it’s a perfect way for families and groups to get active while having fun in the process.
The game currently features four distinct game modes, including a Red Light, Green Light, which draws obvious inspiration from the hit Netflix show Squid Game. This mode, along with others, ensures that players of all skill levels can find a challenge they’ll love. The recommended age for players is six and up, making it a great fit for both kids and “kids at heart.” A single five-minute game costs just P100, or roughly $2, making it an accessible and affordable option for a quick burst of fun.

If you’re curious to see the action firsthand, check out our video featuring Timezone ambassador, cosplayer, and gaming content creator Myrtle Sarrosa. She and other cosplayers put ColourGrid to the test, giving you a sneak peek at the fast-paced fun and whether you have what it takes to master the grid.
Of course, we had to try the game ourselves, and we found it both fun and engaging — not to mention, tiring. But more than anything else, we think ColourGrid is proof that arcades are evolving. It’s a place where you can step away from a screen and into a space that’s all about shared moments and friendly competition.
Timezone is showing that they get it. People want to do more than just play; they want to connect. This new game is a perfect example of them creating a space where you can make new memories with friends and family — one vibrant tile (or should we say, colored grid?) at a time.
