Antutu has released its benchmark performance rankings for the Chinese market for August 2025, giving us a clear picture of the most powerful Android devices just before the annual wave of next-gen chipsets. The results show familiar names at the top, with a few interesting shifts in the landscape.
Top 10 flagship smartphones: Qualcomm Snapdragon’s reign continues
Qualcomm remains firmly in control of the high-end Android space. The August rankings for flagship phones are a testament to the dominance of the Snapdragon 8 Elite, with the top three spots occupied by devices running its overclocked version.
For the third consecutive month, the RedMagic 10S Pro Plus stands uncontested as the performance king, posting an impressive average score of 2,947,567. This gaming beast leverages the higher-clocked CPU and GPU of the Snapdragon 8 Elite’s premium variant to maintain its lead.
Following behind are the vivo X200 Ultra and iQOO Neo10 Pro Plus, which scored 2,899,541 and 2,875,495, respectively. Both devices use the same Snapdragon chip, cementing its status as the go-to for flagship performance. MediaTek makes a showing only twice with the Dimensity 9400 Plus, powering the fourth-place vivo X200s and the ninth-place Redmi K80 from Xiaomi.
Top 10 sub-flagship smartphones: The MediaTek Dimensity dynasty
In the fiercely competitive sub-flagship tier, MediaTek’s strategy is paying off handsomely. The Dimensity 8000 series continues its market domination, powering the top three handsets and showcasing remarkable consistency from last month’s rankings with eight entries.
The realme Neo7 SE has climbed to the top spot with its Dimensity 8400-Max, achieving an average benchmark score of 1,701,978. It’s followed closely by the iQOO Z10 Turbo (1,666,963) and the Redmi Turbo 4 (1,665,542), which run on other powerful variants of the Dimensity 8400.
Qualcomm’s presence in this category is represented by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, which powers the seventh-place HONOR 400 and eighth-place vivo S30, though it is clear Taiwan’s MediaTek currently has a stranglehold on this segment.
Top 10 tablets: Gaming giant takes the throne
The Android tablet performance chart is once again a showcase for Qualcomm’s premier silicon.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite processor-based RedMagic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro, globally launched as the RedMagic Astra Gaming Tablet, has taken the lead with a staggering average benchmark score of 2,909,018 — outperforming most of the flagship phones. Its gaming-focused optimizations have clearly pushed the hardware to its limits.
The OnePlus Pad 2 Pro (2,827,679) and OPPO Pad 4 Pro (2,824,037) sit in second and third places, respectively. An interesting development continues at the bottom of the list, where Xiaomi’s proprietary XRING O1 chip makes another appearance in the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra and Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro 12.5, signaling a growing trend of in-house silicon development that could challenge the established players in the future.
