realme has officially launched its new number series in the Philippines, and this time, the focus is squarely on the camera. Anchored on a campaign to #LiveForReal, the realme 15 Pro 5G and realme 15 5G are built around a versatile and powerful imaging system designed to capture “raw, authentic moments” with a suite of new AI-powered tools.

The star of the show is the realme 15 Pro 5G, which now serves as the brand’s top-tier offering in the lineup. It ditches the single high-megapixel sensor of its predecessor for a more balanced triple 50-megapixel array. This setup includes a Sony IMX896 main sensor with optical image stabilization or OIS, an Omnivision OV50D for ultrawide shots, and a matching 50-megapixel sensor for selfies. Crucially, all three cameras are capable of recording video in 4K at 60fps, giving creators a level of consistency not often seen in this price segment.

The standard realme 15 5G gets a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 main camera and an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, paired with the same 50-megapixel selfie camera as the Pro. It also supports 4K video, though it’s capped at 30fps. Both smartphones feature a Dual View Video mode, allowing users to record from the front and rear cameras simultaneously.

To help the cameras shine, the company is leaning heavily on artificial intelligence. The new AI toolkit includes:

• AI Smart Remover 2.0. An object eraser that can instantly remove distractions or people from your photos.
• AI Party mode. Designed to enhance colors and clarity in low-light party scenes, making subjects stand out.
• AI Nightscape. For brighter and more vivid nighttime photography.
• AI Edit Genie. This feature lets the phone handle editing with voice commands. However, there’s a catch: After a one-month free trial, usage is limited to 20 “command retouches” per day.

Powering the creative experience is a set of strong internal specs. The realme 15 Pro 5G runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, while the standard model uses a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Plus chipset. The two devices are also surprisingly durable, boasting an IP66, IP68, and IP69 rating for robust protection against dust and water. They are equipped with a large 7,000mAh battery and 80-watt SUPERVOOC fast charging, ensuring you have enough power to shoot all day. Photos and videos can be viewed on a bright 6.8-inch 144Hz AMOLED display that hits a peak brightness of 6,500 nits on the Pro version.
