Xiaomi‘s budget-friendly Redmi sub-brand has a new 5G contender. The Redmi 15C 5G has officially landed in several European markets, including Poland, France, Spain, and Hungary, and has also popped up in Asia, specifically in Thailand. This quiet rollout, coupled with our discovery of a Redmi 15C 5G FAQ guide on Xiaomi Philippines’ official website, strongly suggests the device is gearing up for a local debut, following the recent launch of its 4G sibling.
The sleek-looking Redmi 15C 5G isn’t here to break performance records, but it aims to deliver a solid 5G experience where it matters most for its price point: a massive battery and a smooth display.
Key highlights
The phone’s main appeal lies in its massive 6,000mAh battery, a feature that should easily get most users through two days on a single charge. When you do need to top up, it supports 33-watt wired charging. While that’s not the fastest we’ve seen, it’s a welcome speed for a handset in this category.
Complementing the endurance is a large 6.9-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This is a noteworthy feature for a budget device, promising a much smoother scrolling and gaming experience than standard 60Hz panels. The display resolution is HD+, a trade-off that prioritizes battery life and smooth performance on the device’s entry-level hardware. It’s also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Capable silicon, simple shooter
Powering the 5G capabilities is a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. This chipset is a significant upgrade from the Redmi 15C 4G’s MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra, offering more efficient performance. It’s paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of eMMC 5.1 storage, with a dedicated microSD card slot available for further expansion.
For optics, the Redmi 15C 5G features a 50-megapixel main camera on the back, assisted by an auxiliary lens. Up front, an 8-megapixel selfie camera resides in a teardrop-shaped notch, a design choice that feels a bit dated but helps keep costs down. Both cameras can record video at 1080p at 30fps.

Pricing, software, and the Philippine question
The smartphone is rated IP64 for dust and splash resistance, adding a layer of durability against everyday elements. It runs on HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 15, offering Xiaomi’s latest software experience out of the box. Security is handled by a side-mounted fingerprint reader. Other notable features include a 3.5mm headphone jack and FM radio, catering to users who still prefer wired audio and traditional radio.
In Europe where gadgets are usually more expensive, the Redmi 15C 5G is priced from €180 (roughly P12,130 or $212). In Thailand, it launched with a special promotional price of ฿3,999 (P7,173 or $125) for the 4GB/128GB variant. For comparison, the 4G version typically sells for around €150 (P10,108 or $177) in Europe and recently released in the Philippines from P5,299 ($93). Given these aggressive price points, the Redmi 15C 5G could land locally as a strong contender in the sub-P10,000 (sub-$175) 5G market.
While an official Philippine launch date and pricing remain under wraps, the appearance of the FAQ guide suggests it’s a matter of “when,” not “if.”
