At IFA 2025 in Berlin, Germany, Samsung officially took the wraps off a handful of new devices, headlined by the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra tablets and the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE phone.

The Korean technology giant also announced pricing and availability details here in the Philippines, and the good news is the Galaxy S25 FE won’t see a price hike — at least, locally.

Like the Galaxy S24 FE, the latest FE model starts at P39,990 (around $700) for the 128GB variant. The 256GB and 512GB versions are priced at P44,990 ($787) and P53,990 ($946), respectively. All storage variants come with 8GB of physical RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE will be available in the Philippines starting September 19, 2025. To mark the launch, Samsung is offering a promo that lets buyers double their storage at a reduced price and get an additional P2,000 ($35) discount, for total savings of up to P11,000 ($193). Customers can also trade in an old device for up to 50% off and avail themselves of 0% installment plans for up to 36 months. Those who purchase the phone can get up to 50% off on the Galaxy Buds3 FE.

But back to Samsung’s latest handset. The design of the Galaxy S25 FE looks pretty much identical to the model before it, available in four colors — Icyblue, Jetblack, Navy, and White. Thankfully, the company has retained the premium build quality of the previous generation, offering Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Plus on the front and back, plus an enhanced Armor Aluminum Frame which Samsung claims is tougher than before. It also carries an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

The latest iteration brings a sharper 12-megapixel front camera, a slightly larger 4,900mAh battery that supports faster 45-watt wired charging, and a 10% larger vapor chamber — a welcome improvement for mobile gamers and power users.

Elsewhere, the smartphone boasts a vivid 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display that supports FHD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. At the back, the triple-camera setup remains with a 50-megapixel main lens, a 12-megapixel ultrawide, and an 8-megapixel telephoto for 3x optical zoom.

Galaxy AI arrives on the FE

Like its siblings in the Galaxy S25 lineup, the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE comes with Galaxy AI built into the system, optimized by Android 15-based One UI 8 and multimodal AI agents to make your life easier.

Here’s a quick breakdown of some of the new AI features:

  • Now Bar. This feature surfaces helpful information right from your lock screen, from live notifications to music controls.
  • Now Brief. Provides personalized daily updates including traffic, reminders, and fitness summaries.
  • Generative Edit. Automatically detects and recommends removing passersby from the background of photos.
  • Portrait Studio. Allows you to create personalized avatars with more true-to-life facial expressions.
  • Instant Slow-mo. Transforms any video clip into slow motion with a single tap.
  • Audio Eraser. Cleans up noise in videos by isolating and reducing specific audio elements like voices, wind, or background interference.
  • Auto Trim. Streamlines video editing by automatically selecting the best moments from your footage.

With its familiar yet refined design, upgraded hardware, and the addition of Galaxy AI features previously reserved for higher-end models, the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE aims to deliver a flagship-like experience at a more accessible price point.
