HONOR is once again making a big splash in the Philippines. The brand’s new HONOR X7d smartphone is now officially available nationwide, and it’s kicking things off by expanding its retail footprint.

Specifically, the company cut the ribbon on two new physical stores. Fans in Northern and Central Luzon are getting easier access to HONOR devices, with the new shops now open in SM City La Union and SM City Olongapo. Local celebrities Lianne Valentin and Sean Lucas were present at the launches, joining the festivities and meeting fans.

Of course, the star of the show was the HONOR X7d itself. HONOR has been hyping the phone’s “all-angle water-resistant” build, and it certainly wasn’t afraid to prove it. Instead of just talking about it, the company let attendees put the model to the test in water activities. Some people even went all-in, dipping the HONOR X7d into water tanks set up right in the store. Thankfully, the smartphone handled the dunks and splashes just fine, proving it can definitely survive an accidental spill.

HONOR Philippines vice president Stephen Cheng said the double launch event was all about making their products and technologies accessible to more people. “The day has come for our HONOR stars and fans to get their hands on our newest water-resistant AI smartphone. We are truly grateful to our HONOR community from La Union and Olongapo,” he shared.

The HONOR X7d with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at P9,999 (roughly $170) and is available exclusively through offline HONOR Experience and Partner Stores. There’s also an 8GB/256GB variant, released exclusively on Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok Shop for only P7,299 ($123).
