OPPO‘s newest flagship, the OPPO Find X9, is strutting onto the global stage this October 28, hot off its China debut earlier this month. Alongside the device, the company is rolling out ColorOS 16 — its most advanced mobile OS yet — bringing smoother performance, smarter features, and seamless cross-device connectivity to the experience.

The Philippines is next in line, with OPPO confirming the smartphone’s arrival soon. While the price and release date are still under wraps, the buzz is building — and fans have every reason to be excited.

Interestingly, the brand is kicking off the OPPO Find X9’s local launch with a major creative partnership. It’s teaming up with Ballet Philippines, the country’s flagship ballet and contemporary dance institution and resident company of the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

If anything, it’s a sign that OPPO is putting its weight behind Filipino arts and the creative community, while also connecting the brand’s push for technical “craft” in mobile imaging with the artistry of live performance. As Ballet Philippines director Kathleen Liechtenstein puts it: “Ballet Philippines has always been a home for Filipino artistry. In partnership with OPPO, we celebrate the movement, mastery, and imagination that bring our nation’s creative spirit to life.”

Recall that last year’s OPPO Find X8 arrived on local shores with a P54,999 (around $938) price tag for the base model. That phone featured a slick chassis that took some cues from a certain fruit company, a capable camera system, and a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 powerhouse chipset running a smooth and feature-rich Android overlay.

We’re already deep into testing the OPPO Find X9, so expect our full review as soon as the embargo lifts. Here’s the early word, though: The Find X9 is shaping up to be a serious contender. Perhaps the biggest highlight right out of the gate is the battery. We’re looking at a massive 7,025mAh cell, which is a huge jump from the 5,630mAh battery in the Find X8.

The camera looks promising, too, as usual. We put it through the wringer at the company’s local preview event and walked away impressed. The setup sports a 50-megapixel triple-rear system, headlined by the exact same LYT-808 sensor found in the higher-end Find X8 Pro. You’ll want to check out the initial photo samples we took at the event — they pretty much speak for themselves.
