In case it slipped past you, the OPPO Find X9, which succeeds last year’s OPPO Find X8, is already open for preorder in the Philippines following its global debut.
Available in Titanium Grey and Space Black locally, OPPO’s latest flagship phone launches with a single, top-tier configuration. Specifically, we’re looking at 16GB of physical RAM matched with 512GB of internal storage. This top-end configuration comes with an equally premium P69,999 (roughly $1,190) price tag. Preorders are currently running nationwide across all OPPO stores until November 20. Early buyers will receive a free DJI Osmo Mobile SE Stabilizer plus a P2,000 ($34) discount.
If you prefer the convenience of online shopping, the OPPO Find X9 hits the brand’s official Shopee store exclusively on November 10. Customers on the platform receive the DJI Osmo Mobile SE, a “P2,000 ($34) off” digital voucher, a separate Shopee platform voucher, and a P200 ($3) GCash cashback upon leaving a positive review. Those needing to spread the cost can leverage zero-interest payment plans through Shopee’s SPayLater option.
Carrier options are kicking off soon, too. You can secure the device via Globe Postpaid GPlan 2499 starting November 14 with a cash out of P61,000 ($1,037) and take home the free DJI Osmo Mobile SE — though this specific offer is limited to the first 65 buyers across both online and offline channels. Availability through Smart’s postpaid plans (Plan 999 and above) is scheduled for the near future, and you can already pre-register your interest.
Just a reminder
As for the device itself, we think it’s shaping up to be a serious contender in the high-end market. Perhaps the biggest highlight right out of the gate is the battery. We’re looking at a massive 7,025mAh cell, which is a huge jump from the 5,630mAh battery in the Find X8.
The camera system, as usual, looks very promising. Having tested it during the company’s local preview event, we walked away genuinely impressed. Co-engineered with Hasselblad, the setup features a 50-megapixel triple-rear system, notably headlined by the exact same LYT-808 sensor used in the premium Find X8 Pro.
Now, to address the elephant in the room. Yes, the OPPO Find X9 is more expensive than its predecessor was at launch. However, it’s crucial to remember that the Find X9 model being offered here packs significantly more memory. You’re getting 16GB of RAM and 512GB of fast storage, a straight upgrade from the P54,999 ($935) price point for the 12GB/256GB variant of the Find X8. You’re basically paying for the jump in memory and storage capacity.
We’ve already sunk significant time into testing the OPPO Find X9, so expect our full, comprehensive review to go live the moment the review embargo lifts later this month.
