While most of us were shaking off the weekend blues, HONOR Philippines was busy hitting a huge milestone. The brand officially opened its 100th Experience Store at SM City Manila — no small feat for a company that’s been sprinting to capture market share since its return.
HONOR paired the celebration with a hardware drop: the official launch of the HONOR MagicBook X14 2025 and HONOR MagicBook X16 2025.
If you’ve been holding onto a battering ram of a laptop from 2019 waiting for a decent upgrade under P40,000 (roughly $682), you’ll want to pay attention.
The ‘2025’ refresh: 2 laptops, 2 different engines
Here is where it gets interesting. Usually, the 14-inch and 16-inch models in a lineup are just twins with different heights. Not this time. HONOR has put distinct engines under the hood.
The MagicBook X16 2025 shines as the main attraction here. The laptop comes equipped with the Intel Core Ultra 5 processor 125H. Getting a Core Ultra chip — Intel’s fancy NPU-enabled silicon — at this price point is a serious flex. It also means you get the far superior Intel Arc Graphics instead of the older integrated solutions.
The smaller MagicBook X14 2025, on the other hand, sticks to the tried-and-true 13th Gen Intel Core i5-13420H. While it lacks the Ultra branding, this is still an H-series chip (high performance), not the weaker U-series chipsets often dumped into budget thin-and-lights.
Both units come with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage as the standard configuration. In a market where some manufacturers are still trying to convince us that 8GB is acceptable for Windows 11, seeing 16GB as the baseline here is refreshing.

X14 vs X16: Which one is for you?
The road warrior: HONOR MagicBook X14 2025
- Price: P34,999 ($596)
- Display: 14-inch IPS, 1920×1200 (16:10 aspect ratio)
- Weight: 1.43kg
- Battery: 42Wh (approximately 8.5 hours local video playback)
The X14 is the portable pick. It’s got that taller 16:10 screen which is great for productivity, and at 1.43kg, it’s light enough to forget it’s in your bag. The device is powered by the i5-13420H, which is plenty fast for heavy Chrome tabs, Office work, and photo editing.
The power player: HONOR MagicBook X16 2025
- Price: P37,999 ($648)
- Display: 16-inch IPS, 1920×1200 (16:10 aspect ratio)
- Weight: 1.75kg
- Battery: 60Wh (approximately 9.8 hours daily office use)
For just P3,000 ($51) more, the X16 feels like the better value on paper. You get the bigger screen, the significantly newer Core Ultra 5 processor, a larger 60Wh battery, and a full numeric keypad. It weighs more at 1.75kg, but for the performance bump and screen real estate, that’s a fair trade.
Both models sport a clean, aluminum metal body and a solid port selection: full-sized HDMI, USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 & Gen 2, and USB-C. No dongle life required.
Promo and availability
HONOR Philippines isn’t wasting time with preorders; these units are available right now.
If you pick one up between now and December 31, 2025, the company is throwing in a freebie bundle worth P3,698 ($63), consisting of a backpack and an ergonomic mouse.
At these prices, HONOR is effectively undercutting a lot of the competition. Finding a metal-build laptop with 16GB of RAM and an H-series processor for P34,999 ($596) and a Core Ultra 5 for P37,999 ($648) is not common.
