If you’ve been holding out for Xiaomi‘s next budget heavyweight to hit markets beyond China, your wait is almost over. REDMI confirmed that the REDMI Note 15 5G — the 108 Master Pixel Edition specifically — will officially launch in India on January 6, 2026.

The announcement, spotted on an Amazon landing page, gives us the usual marketing breadcrumbs: a slim profile, an upgrade to the design, and a confirmation of a 108-megapixel primary camera. But while REDMI is trying to play coy with a slow-drip teaser campaign, retailers and regulatory databases in Europe seem to have missed the memo.

Listings for the entire REDMI Note 15 series, including the REDMI Note 15 Pro Plus, have reportedly popped up across European storefronts and energy registries, effectively spoiling the surprise. If these listings are accurate, we aren’t just getting a rebadged Chinese phone; we are getting a distinct global lineup with some interesting silicon swaps.

‘Coming soon’ here, but the microsite on Amazon shows the launch date

The leaked specs

The REDMI Note line is usually a confusing mix of models that vary by region. However, the European leaks paint a pretty clear picture of what’s coming, marking the key advancement as a shift in processing power and a unified display size.

According to the leak, Xiaomi appears to be standardizing the screen real estate, with the Pro versions sporting a 6.83-inch OLED panel. The real focus falls under the hood, where the international variants are trading chips compared to their Chinese counterparts.

Here is the breakdown of the hardware spotted in the wild so far:

  • REDMI Note 15 (standard). Listed in Germany with a contract price of just €6.99 (retail likely ~€299), this model reportedly features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset and that confirmed 108-megapixel main shooter.
  • REDMI Note 15 Pro. This is the midtier sweet spot. It was seen with a retail price of €399 and swaps the Qualcomm processor for a MediaTek Dimensity 7400-Ultra. It also bumps the main camera to a 200-megapixel sensor.
  • REDMI Note 15 Pro Plus. The top dog (likely €499) brings the premium features. The leaks point to a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, 100-watt fast charging, and a more versatile camera setup featuring a 200-megapixel main lens paired with an ultrawide and macro unit.

If you are in India, don’t expect the whole family to show up at the party on January 6.

According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the January launch will likely focus solely on the standard REDMI Note 15 5G. The heavy hitters — the REDMI Note 15 Pro and REDMI Note 15 Pro Plus — are expected to arrive in February. This staggered strategy should allow Xiaomi to clear out inventory of the older models before dropping the more expensive Pro variants.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi has bigger fish to fry in the premium segment. The company is reportedly prepping the global rollout of the Xiaomi 17 series for the first quarter of 2026, with the Xiaomi 17 Ultra expected to debut in China later this month.

For now, if you are looking for a midranger that balances performance and imaging without the flagship price tag, the Note 15 looks promising, even if the retailers leaked it before REDMI could properly announce it.
