Samsung didn’t throw a fancy Unpacked event for this one, but the new Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 Plus has officially landed on Philippine shores to kick off 2026.

According to the local press release, it’s positioned as a versatile tablet for students and families, intended to bridge the gap between “entertainment and light productivity.” While it retains the industrial design of its predecessor, the “Plus” moniker brings a couple of nice upgrades, including a faster display, smarter AI integration via Gemini, and — surprisingly for this price point — support for Samsung DeX. If you’re not familiar, DeX is a first-party software platform that turns your Samsung device into a desktop-like environment when connected to a monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

If you are looking to pick one up, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 Plus is now available in Gray. Below is the price breakdown and the launch offers valid in the Philippines until March 31, 2026:

  • Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 Plus (Wi-Fi): P14,990 (around $253)
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 Plus (5G): P17,990 ($303)
  • Launch freebie: 128GB microSD card with every purchase
  • Add-on deal: Official Book Cover for just P850 or $14 (P1,940 or $33 off)

For those hunting for the best possible deal, purchasing through the company’s livestreams on Shopee, Lazada, or TikTok gives you a chance to take home a free 25-watt power brick.

Release announcement

Specs-wise, the most immediate change can be found on the front, where the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 Plus’ 11-inch screen now boasts a 90Hz refresh rate. It’s a welcome bump that should make scrolling through feeds and navigating the user interface feel significantly more fluid compared to the standard 60Hz panels often found in the budget segment. Sound duties are handled by four Dolby-tuned speakers, and thankfully, Samsung has kept the 3.5mm headphone jack for wired audio enthusiasts.

Under the hood, local materials refer only to a generic octa-core processor, but the brand’s official U.S. website confirms the silicon is a MediaTek Dimensity 7300. Built on a 4nm process, this chipset packs four Cortex-A78 and four Cortex-A55 cores — a configuration that should deliver a notable step up in efficiency and performance compared to previous generations. This chip is paired with 6GB of physical RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which remains expandable up to 2TB via a microSD slot. Powering the Galaxy Tab A11 Plus is a 7,040mAh battery that supports 25-watt charging, ensuring the tablet can survive a day of mixed usage.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a 2026 launch without some AI thrown in. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 Plus comes with Google Gemini Live for real-time help, in addition to a “Solve Math” feature in Samsung Notes.
