HONOR is lining up a budget surprise for the Philippines. The HONOR X5c Plus is scheduled to launch on Feb. 26, with the company teasing its arrival through Shopee.

If the local release mirrors the version that debuted in other markets late last year, the X5c Plus should land with a 12nm MediaTek Helio G81 chipset, backed by a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. That silicon isn’t flagship-grade, but it’s a step up from the MediaTek Helio G36 found in the HONOR X5b Plus, promising smoother multitasking and more reliable performance for entry-level gaming.

Battery life is another headline feature: HONOR claims the 5,260mAh cell can stretch standby time to 61 hours. Charging caps at 15 watts, which remains competitive in the budget tier. The display is a 6.74-inch TFT LCD with HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and dynamic dimming — a combination aimed at balancing smooth visuals with eye comfort.

On the camera side, the HONOR X5c Plus offers a 50-megapixel main sensor paired with a QVGA auxiliary lens, plus a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. Storage options reach up to 256GB, expandable to 1TB via microSD, while RAM gets a boost from the brand’s “Turbo” feature, effectively doubling the 4GB base. The smartphone runs MagicOS 9.0 on top of Android 15, and it carries an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, a small but welcome durability upgrade.

Pricing remains unannounced, but keep in mind that the HONOR X5b Plus launched in the Philippines last year at just ₱4,999 (around $86), making it one of the most affordable phones in the company’s 2025 lineup. That model offered a 6.56-inch 90Hz panel, a 5,200mAh battery, and the same 50-megapixel main camera. If HONOR keeps the X5c Plus in a similar range, it could once again hit the sweet spot for students, budget-conscious buyers, and anyone looking for a reliable secondary phone.
