Infinix Philippines just dropped its latest midrange contender, the Infinix NOTE Edge, and it is making a loud play for the “premium feel, budget price” crown. On paper, it looks like a design-forward disruptor aimed squarely at Gen Z, but what really stands out is how the company managed to cram a large 6,500mAh battery into a frame that is just 7.2mm thick.
Most “thin and light” smartphones usually sacrifice endurance to stay svelte. The NOTE Edge flips that script. Infinix claims this 6,500mAh cell can handle 22 hours of YouTube playback or 26 hours of Google Maps navigation.
The technical highlight here is what the Transsion sub-brand is calling “self-repairing” battery technology. It uses a low-current repair process and dynamic recrystallization to heal micro-cracks during low-power cycles. Infinix is promising 80% capacity retention after 2,000 full cycles — roughly six years of typical use. For a midrange phone that supports 45-watt All-Round FastCharge, that kind of longevity is a serious value add.
The ‘King of Edge’ is here
Visually, the Infinix NOTE Edge lives up to its name with a 3D-Curved 1.5K display. The screen hits a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, which is flagship-level territory and should make outdoor visibility a non-issue. The bezels are a symmetrical 1.87mm, giving it that all-screen look that usually costs twice as much.
It comes in four finishes: Lunar Titanium, Silk Green, Stellar Blue, and Shadow Black. The Silk Green color variant is the standout, using a “water-wave brushed texture” inspired by silk that mimics a high-end leather feel.
Under the hood, the NOTE Edge is the global debut for the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G platform. In early testing, it is clearing 810,000 points on AnTuTu V11 and supports 90 FPS gameplay in titles like Honor of Kings. Beyond raw performance, the brand is also leaning heavily into artificial intelligence with its UPS 3.0 AI Super Signal, which is designed to keep your 5G connection stable in notorious dead zones like subways or underground parking garages by dynamically optimizing frequency bands.
That emphasis on performance and stability extends to everyday use, where imaging and software play a central role. The photography setup features a 50-megapixel main camera and introduces a new Live Photo mode. On the software side, the device runs XOS 16 based on Android 16.
