Roll out the red carpet: The OPPO Reno15 Series 5G, OPPO‘s mainstream smartphone line, launches in the Philippines on Feb. 13.

The company is bringing three new models to the local market to “redefine travel storytelling” — the Reno15 Pro 5G, Reno15 5G, and Reno15 F 5G, the most affordable of the trio.

What to expect

Leading the pack is the OPPO Reno15 Pro 5G, which packs quite a lot in a surprisingly pocketable form factor. It sports a compact 6.32-inch AMOLED panel and runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset, but the crown jewel here is the imaging hardware. You’re looking at a 200-megapixel main sensor flanked by 50‑megapixel telephoto and ultrawide lenses, plus a matching 50‑megapixel selfie camera. And even though it’s got a smaller footprint, OPPO still managed to squeeze in a 6,200mAh battery.

Sitting in the middle is the standard OPPO Reno15 5G, which carries a slightly larger 6.59‑inch AMOLED screen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. The main camera steps down to a still‑capable 50‑megapixel unit, paired with a 50‑megapixel telephoto and the same 50‑megapixel front‑facer found on the Pro, but trades the high‑res ultrawide for an 8‑megapixel sensor. A larger 6,500mAh battery rounds it out, making it a likely endurance champ for mixed use.

@revuphilippines The OPPO Reno15 Pro 5G, OPPO Reno15 5G, and OPPO Reno15 F 5G are almost here! Launching in the Philippines on Feb. 13, but we’ve already cracked open all three boxes. Closing the lineup is the OPPO Reno15 F 5G, the most accessible entry point in the series. It runs on a more modest Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor and pares back to a dual‑rear camera setup (not counting the 2‑megapixel filler): a 50‑megapixel primary and 8‑megapixel ultrawide. Even so, it refuses to compromise on longevity, packing a huge 7,000mAh battery — the largest of the bunch — behind a 6.57‑inch AMOLED display, positioning it as the marathon runner of the group for light gaming and media consumption.

All phones support 80-watt SUPERVOOC fast charging out of the box, along with the brand’s fantastic ColorOS 16 overlay based on Android 16. The OPPO Reno15 Pro 5G and Reno15 5G add 4K HDR Ultra‑Steady Video, cutting the need for a gimbal when shooting vlogs or action clips. The HDR integration is especially useful outdoors, handling harsh sunlight and backlighting that would otherwise ruin a shot. The OPPO Reno15 Series 5G also packs a 50‑megapixel front camera with a 100‑degree field of view (that’s 0.6x, in case you’re curious), giving you more freedom to frame and pull more of the background into the picture.

The standout model is obviously the top-end Reno15 Pro 5G, which is OPPO Philippines’ first real foray into a premium compact smartphone. We love its size; it hits a sweet spot we’ve long wanted in a sub‑flagship that actually fits the hand. Well, here it is. It’s rare air for OPPO in the local market, and we’ll see if Filipino consumers embrace it.

AI tricks: Pop, slow, and glow

Beyond the specs, OPPO is highlighting the Reno15 Series 5G’s AI capabilities, particularly on the camera front. There are three that we’d like to highlight: Motion Photo Popout, Slow Motion, and AI Portrait Glow. All of them debut on the latest Reno lineup.

Motion Photo Popout lets you pull elements from moving pictures and give them a pseudo‑3D effect, making subjects appear to “step out” of the frame. The new Slow Motion feature uses AI frame interpolation to transform standard motion images into smooth, cinematic slow‑mo clips, even after the shot is taken. And AI Portrait Glow acts as a virtual lighting assistant, analyzing the scene to apply flattering effects — whether simulated sunlight, rim lighting, or studio illumination — so faces stay perfectly lit in any environment.
