OPPO teased a global release for its photography-centric OPPO Find X9 Ultra at Mobile World Congress 2026 earlier this year, and now we finally have a timeline. According to a post on X from the brand’s chief product officer, Pete Lau, the flagship is officially hitting international markets in April.
The launch will mark a major milestone for the company, as it’s the first time an Ultra-branded model is stepping outside of China. We’re already expecting great things from the optics department, especially considering how excellent the base OPPO Find X9 has been since we started daily-driving it last year. It remains to be seen if the Philippines will make the final release roster, but we’re feeling pretty optimistic given that the local market is scheduled to receive the OPPO Find N6 foldable flagship soon.
In any case, Lau’s teaser also gave us a clean look at the upcoming smartphone. And while the OPPO Find X9 Ultra rocks a sleek flat metal frame and matching flush back, it’s the vibrant orange button on the edge that immediately grabs your attention.

It’s easy to immediately draw comparisons to Apple’s Camera Control on the iPhone 16 lineup and beyond, though to be fair, the Chinese company has played with this kind of hardware before. In fact, the touch-sensitive OPPO Snap Key pulls double duty — and then some. A quick double-tap launches the viewfinder, a swipe adjusts your zoom, and a full press takes the shot, but you can likewise map it to custom triggers like the flashlight.
On the camera front, OPPO has officially confirmed the return of Hasselblad color tuning, though the exact hardware remains shrouded in mystery. If the leaks hold true, the Find X9 Ultra will pack a monstrous quad-lens system headlined by a 200-megapixel primary sensor, likely the Sony LYTIA 901. That’s supposedly backed by a second 200-megapixel shooter dedicated to periscope zoom, alongside a 50-megapixel ultra-wide, a 50-megapixel telephoto, and a multispectral sensor for improved color accuracy.
The rest of the rumored specs are just as bleeding-edge: a 6.82-inch 2K LTPO OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, and blazing-fast 100-watt wired charging. Finally, the phone is expected to have a giant battery exceeding 7,000mAh.
If you’re wondering when you can get your hands on one, prereservations are already live in China for the OPPO Find X9 Ultra, alongside a second unconfirmed device widely believed to be the OPPO Find X9s Pro.
For the photography purists, a rumored special edition — potentially launching as the Master Kit or Hasselblad Master Edition — might be worth the wait. It’s tipped to max out at 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, complete with a bundled teleconverter accessory to push that already ridiculous camera system even further.
