Though 2020 is coming to a close, Xiaomi is not done releasing new devices in the Philippines just yet. It has announced the local availability of its Mi Watch series.

Yes, you can buy the Xiaomi Mi Watch and Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite from the company’s official online brand store on Shopee and its offline shops in Metro Manila starting today, December 16. And they will soon be offered on Lazada, too.

So, how much do the smartwatches cost in the Philippines? The Mi Watch and Mi Watch Lite have low suggested retail prices of P4,990 (around $104 converted) and P2,490 ($52), respectively. Those are more than reasonable for what the devices bring to the table — and there’s plenty of notable features here.

The Xiaomi Mi Watch already boasts a AMOLED display that’s round to mimic traditional timepieces and big at 1.39 inches. It’s also slim and light at 32 grams — that’s without the weight of the strap. With a 4,20mAh battery, the device can last up to 16 days on standby.

Some of the features the wearable offers include a GPS, a compass, a heart-rate sensor, a blood-oxygen monitor, and a sleep tracker. It has 117 different exercise modes with a dedicated sport button and can be used even when you are out for, say, a swim, as it’s rated at 5 ATM — meaning the Mi Watch is water resistant to up to 50 meters in depth for 10 minutes.

The cheaper Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite, on the other hand, is what’s known in China as the Redmi Watch. The color screen here, which measures 1.4 inches, is square, making it look like those from Apple. It’s TFT, not AMOLED, though.

The Mi Watch Lite offers 11 workout modes, 5 ATM water resistance up to 50 meters, up to nine days of battery life, and an integrated GPS/Glonass for a better dual-satellite positioning system. It records your daily heart rate, exercise, and sleeping data and monitors calories burned, step count, and even times you’ve stood up.
