When it comes to mobile photography, we believe there are two smartphones that rule the local market — at least based on the devices we have tested.

On one end is the recently launched Huawei P60 Pro with the industry’s first Ultra Lighting Camera and Ultra Lighting Telephoto Camera. And on the other is the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, which debuted in February with a 200-megapixel main image sensor.

We pit the Huawei P60 Pro against the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. Watch the video to find out which phone delivers the better results with its primary, ultrawide, telephoto, and macro lenses! We brought these units with us on separate occasions to cover international technology events. We used the Huawei P60 Pro during our five-day business trip to China last month, while we relied on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra (and the Xiaomi 13 Pro) during our Mobile World Congress 2023 coverage in Barcelona, Spain. We brought both flagships to Hong Kong for a last-minute personal trip only a few days ago as well.

So, which of the two phones performed better? Do we agree with camera-ratings site Dxomark that Huawei’s lone P60 series model in the Philippines is the current camera king? Or is that just all hype and Samsung’s most premium Galaxy S23 variant is really the best there is imaging-wise? Watch the video we embedded in this article to find out the results of our comparison!

Team REVU Founded by Alora Uy Guerrero and Ramon "Monch" Lopez, REVU Philippines is the product of 42 combined years in the media trenches — long enough to see gadgets rise, platforms fall, and deadlines multiply. Between them, they've shaped content for Yahoo, T3, Techie, TV5, MEGA, GadgetMatch, and Gadgets, with a few strategic side quests in retail, PR, and marketing. We're a lean team, which means no filler and no fluff, just the stories worth telling. Between chasing kids, specs, and the perfect camera angle, we brew coffee, shoot content, play video games, watch hoops, blast our favorite bands, and somehow still hit our deadlines. REVU is our passion project, built on the belief that tech journalism should have as much style as it does substance — and preferably enough caffeine to power a small server farm.
