The Nothing Phone (2a) is confirmed to launch March 5, and with it, the promise of doing what the London-based consumer-electronics company Nothing doing what it does best: design, user interface innovation, and hardware and software integration. And delivering great performance and a great camera.

One of the more prominent tipsters claims that the Nothing Phone (2a) is powered by a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7200-Ultra, the same 5G processor that’s inside Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G, whose launch we covered in Bangkok, Thailand. The rear imaging system supposedly pairs a 50-megapixel main sensor with a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera and the front shooter is a 32-megapixel one.

Apparently, the upcoming model also comes with a 6.7-inch OLED screen with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, support for 45-watt fast charging, and Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.5. It is said to have a limited release in the United States and a price of around $400 (roughly $22,456).

Could these be the key specs of the Nothing Phone (2a)?

Officially, Nothing has divulged nothing — no pun intended — about the smartphone yet except that the device 1) is transparent; 2) retains the Glyph interface of past Nothing handsets; and 3) belongs to the non-flagship category.

More than a week ago, the company revealed that the Phone (2a) is code-named Aerodactyl and “leverages some of the most loved Phone (2) features while ensuring a clear upgrade compared to Phone (1) on every front.”

There’s a huge chance that the yet-to-be-unveiled mobile will be released in the Philippines considering that Digits, the distributor behind retailers Digital Walker and Beyond the Box, sent us at Revü a press release on the announcement of the official name of the smartphone.
