The realme GT Neo6 SE has launched in China, and with it, a BOE-manufactured screen with an unprecedented peak brightness of 6,000 nits. Global maximum brightness is 1,600 nits, with adjustable settings down to 1,000 nits for comfortable viewing. It makes use of advanced Greenfield AI eye-protection technology as well, which should suit gamers and anyone seeking a visually stunning experience.

The 1.5K panel boasts 8T LTPO technology and BOE S1 luminescent materials for superior image quality and efficiency and supports Pro-XDR ultra-high dynamic function, along with an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 0.5Hz to 120Hz. It prioritizes eye comfort with 3+1 Pulse low-frequency flicker reduction and 2,160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, while the 2,500Hz instantaneous touch-sampling rate should translate to ultra-responsive gameplay. You’ll also see a 94.2% screen-to-body ratio and super-slim 1.36mm bezels here.

According to realme, this is the world’s first SGS-certified 5A gaming screen

The realme GT Neo6 SE goes beyond the display, of course. The brand has equipped the smartphone with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 chipset — the first in the series to support on-device generative AI — paired with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. A 5,500mAh battery is expected to give around 38 hours of call time, 24 hours of chatting, 21 hours of video playback, and 8 hours of gaming on a single charge. And if it needs to be topped up, there’s the 100-watt SUPERVOOC feature, which is said to get the unit from 0% to 50% in about 12 minutes.

This GT model likewise comes with 50-megapixel primary and 8-megapixel ultrawide cameras on the back, a 32-megapixel sensor up front, an in-screen fingerprint sensor, the company’s own user interface that’s based on Android 14, an IP65 water-and-dust-resistance rating, and stereo speakers.

In China, the realme GT Neo6 SE is priced as follows:

  • 8GB + 256GB: ¥1,799 (roughly P14,029 in Philippine pesos or $249 in U.S. dollars)
  • 12GB + 256GB: ¥1,999 (P15,589 or $276)
  • 16GB + 256GB: ¥2,199 (P17,148 or $304)
  • 16GB + 512GB: ¥2,499 (P19,488 or $345)

In January, realme founder and CEO Sky Li announced that the GT series will return to the global market this year. Could the initial offering be the realme GT Neo6 SE? We’d love to surely find out.
