Positioned as successors to the widely popular Xiaomi Pad 6 series, these tablets promise a leap forward in performance, display quality, and smart features, targeting both productivity and entertainment needs.

Preorder either of the two until March 16, and Xiaomi sweetens the deal with a free keyboard case or Focus Pen stylus — a bonus worth considering for those looking to maximize their tablet experience. Xiaomi touts its Focus Pen as a tool for effortless note-taking, quick screenshots, and creative drawing, with seamless switching between functions within the Notes app.

The Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro is priced at P29,999 (around $520) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage base model, while the beefier 12GB/512GB configuration sets you back P33,999 ($590). The standard Xiaomi Pad 7 is more accessible, starting at P19,999 ($350) for the 8GB/128GB version and P22,499 ($390) for the 8GB/256GB option.

Design-wise, both tablets maintain a slim and light profile, measuring just 6.18mm thin and weighing in at only 500 grams. The shared aesthetic emphasizes portability and comfortable handling, complemented by a convenient side-mounted fingerprint sensor for fast and secure unlocking.

The display is another shared highlight: an 11.2-inch LCD with a tack-sharp 3.2K resolution. However, there are a couple of key differences. The standard model prioritizes smooth visuals with a 144Hz refresh rate and 800 nits of peak brightness, while the Pro version elevates the multimedia experience with HDR10+ certification and a brighter 900 nits peak brightness. That said, the latter seems to be the better choice for high-res multimedia consumption.

Inside, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a high-end chipset that brings flagship-level performance to the tablet. The Xiaomi Pad 7, on the other hand, uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 processor, aiming for an optimal balance of performance and battery life.
