Just last month, vivo unveiled its latest compact sub-flagship, the vivo X200 FE, to a global audience, with initial launches in Asian markets like Taiwan, Malaysia, and Thailand.

Now, we have confirmation that the phone is officially making its way to the Philippines later this month, with a launch date set for July 18. Even better, we’ve caught wind of its potential domestic pricing. Based on posts we’ve found online, the vivo X200 FE could retail for P43,999, or roughly $781 converted, for the variant packing 12GB of physical RAM and 512GB of onboard storage. And while this isn’t an official figure from vivo just yet — meaning the final price could be lower or even higher — we’re hoping for a more competitive tag when the X200 series unit officially drops.

By contrast, the same configuration of the FE model goes for NTD26,999 ($930 or P52,366) in Taiwan and HK$5,498 ($700 or P39,452) in Hong Kong. And for even more context, consider that Xiaomi’s POCO F7 with a much more capable Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor and the same battery capacity starts at P23,999 ($426) — or almost half the price — at local retail.

Still, compared to its siblings, the vivo X200 and vivo X200 Pro, which sport MediaTek’s newer Dimensity 9400 platform, and Philippine prices of P57,999 ($1,030) and P69,999 ($1,243), respectively, the vivo X200 FE looks much more appealing from a value standpoint. That more palatable price, however, comes with a few spec compromises. The most notable is the Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset, a last-generation chip also found in the vivo T4 Ultra 5G.

To recap, the vivo X200 FE features a vibrant 6.31-inch LTPO OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and a claimed peak brightness of 5,000 nits. Despite its slender 7.99mm profile and a manageable 186-gram weight, the brand also managed to integrate a massive 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery, which is reportedly good for up to 25 hours of continuous YouTube playback or 9.5 hours of continuous gaming. When it’s time to recharge, the included 90-watt fast charger promises to take the battery from zero to 100% in just 57 minutes.

The rear-facing camera setup on the FE version is equally compelling, boasting a Zeiss-backed lens system. The main shooter is a 50-megapixel sensor with an f/1.88 aperture and optical image stabilization. It’s accompanied by a 50-megapixel telephoto lens and an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, offering versatility for various shooting scenarios. For your selfie needs, there’s a capable 50-megapixel camera up front.
