The world’s thinnest 3D-curved screen phone is landing in the Philippines sooner than we expected.

Infinix Philippines has confirmed the 5.95mm-thin Infinix HOT 60 Pro Plus will launch locally on July 25, just over a week after its debut in Nigeria. This move brings its Paper Thin design philosophy directly to the Philippine market.

Infinix has been heavily hinting at the device’s standout feature: its incredibly thin profile. This isn’t just for show, as the company’s proprietary ultraslim engineering is said to allow for this svelte design without compromising on core functionality or battery life. In a notable feat, the HOT 60 Pro Plus still packs a 5,160mAh high-capacity battery with 45-watt FastCharge feature. Infinix claims this can get you from 1% to 50% charge in just 23 minutes — pretty impressive for such a slender smartphone.

Under the hood, the Infinix HOT 60 Pro Plus runs on the MediaTek Helio G200 chipset, making its debut in the HOT 60 series alongside the HOT 60 Pro. Built on a 6nm process, this processor aims for efficient performance, especially for gaming, with an octa-core CPU and Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. Infinix suggests we can expect “high-speed, smooth, and long-lasting performance.”

For photos, the HOT 60 Pro Plus features a 50-megapixel SONY IMX882 ultra-sensitive sensor on the back. This should mean better low-light performance and sharper details, especially with the company’s AI RAW image processing. Around the front, a 13-megapixel camera handles selfies.

The display also looks promising: a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, 1.5K physical resolution, and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. That translates to vibrant colors, super-smooth scrolling, and excellent visibility even under direct sunlight. Protecting this bright screen is Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, a version specifically designed for improved drop and scratch resistance in midrange phones.

Durability isn’t an afterthought, either. The HOT 60 Pro Plus uses an Aerospace-Grade Aluminum mid-frame and carries an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, offering a decent level of protection against the elements. Infinix likewise put it through rigorous 1.5-meter directional drop tests, suggesting the unit is built to withstand more than just casual bumps.

Beyond the core specifications, Infinix has added some interesting extras. The Color-Pop Design offers several vibrant options, including a Coral Tides gradient inspired by Komodo Island. There’s even a Scent Weave Leather Special Edition that supposedly comes with an infused fragrance, aiming for a unique multisensory experience.

On the software side, the new XOS 15.1.1 system includes Folax, Infinix’s AI assistant, along with features like AI Vogue Portraits and an upgraded AI Eraser. Connectivity gets a boost, too, with NFC Touch Transfer for quick file sharing and UltraLink Free Call. The latter allows two-way calling and messaging over Bluetooth up to 1.5km in open environments — a potentially useful feature for off-grid communication. Audio is enhanced with JBL-certified dual stereo speakers for a more immersive listening experience.

Philippine pricing and exact configurations are still under wraps. However, for context, the Infinix HOT 60 Pro Plus with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage launched in Nigeria for ₦269,600 (roughly P10,005 or $177). Considering its predecessor, the Infinix HOT 50 Pro Plus, retailed for P8,499 ($150) here, it’s reasonable to expect Infinix will aim for an aggressive price point in the Philippines to maintain its competitive edge.
