Just about a month after the standard HONOR 400 5G hit Philippine shores, HONOR Philippines isn’t wasting any time in bringing out the big guns. Get ready, because the HONOR 400 Pro 5G officially launches August 2.

The brand dropped the news on its social media channels, teasing a 200-megapixel AI camera. It’s clear HONOR is doubling down on its AI-first strategy, and if our time with the global version is any indication, the company has got some genuinely exciting tech to show off.

You might remember the buzz around the HONOR 400 5G’s arrival, complete with celebrity ambassadors Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto. Now, the dynamic duo is back, signaling that the Pro model is ready for its closeup.

What exactly makes this “AI beast” tick? For starters, the HONOR 400 Pro 5G packs Qualcomm’s flagship-tier Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 5G processor. The said chipset is the engine that powers the phone’s extensive AI capabilities.

On the camera front, expect a formidable setup headlined by a 200-megapixel main sensor, paired with a 50-megapixel telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom, and a 12-megapixel ultrawide. Selfies and video calls are handled by a 50-megapixel front camera. All of this is viewed on a 6.7-inch quad-curved AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The headline here is the AI, though. We saw HONOR pushing this hard at MWC 2025 in Barcelona, Spain, and during our visit to the company’s Beijing office, and the HONOR 400 Pro 5G is where it truly shines. Think features like 50x AI Super Zoom for those impossibly clear distant shots, and the really wild AI Image to Video feature, co-developed with Google’s Veo AI model. Yes, you can literally turn still images into dynamic 5-second videos. Plus, you’ll get other AI-powered tools like AI Eraser, AI Upscale, and AI Outpainting, all designed to make your life easier and your content look better.

Battery life is also looking promising, with a large 6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery and 100-watt SuperCharge wired charging, alongside 80-watt wireless charging on the Pro model. HONOR even claims the battery will maintain over 80% health after four years of use. That’s a serious commitment to longevity. And yes, the smartphone comes with an IP68/69 rating for robust water and dust resistance, making it ready for whatever adventures (or accidental spills) you throw at it.

Now, for the big question: pricing. The HONOR 200 Pro launched last year at P29,999 (roughly $525), and the standard HONOR 400 5G recently arrived at P22,999 ($402), P2,000 ($35) cheaper than its predecessor. With the HONOR 400 Pro 5G already available in markets like the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, and Malaysia, where prices hover around $600 to $700 converted, it’s anyone’s guess if HONOR Philippines will surprise us with an aggressive local price point.

We at Revü have got the HONOR 400 Pro 5G in our labs right now, putting it through its paces for a full review. Keep an eye out for our deep dive into its performance, especially those intriguing AI camera features, to see if this model truly lives up to the hype when it officially launches August 2.
