At TECNO‘s POVA Gaming Fiesta event in the Philippines, the TECNO POVA Curve 5G debuted alongside the TECNO POVA 7 Ultra 5G.
The new POVA Curve 5G slots in just below its more powerful sibling, which is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate 5G chipset. For the Curve, TECNO opted for the Dimensity 7300 Ultimate, which is still a solid chip for midrange gaming — a specialty of the POVA series — especially when paired with its other impressive specs. Impressively, the phone is also surprisingly slim and lightweight, measuring a mere 7.45mm thick and tipping the scales at just 176 grams.
In the Philippines, the TECNO POVA Curve 5G with 8GB of physical RAM and 256GB of internal storage is officially priced at P10,999 (around $194) on the brand’s Shopee store, though you can pick it up for less with discount vouchers. The available colors are Geek Black and Magic Silver, but, interestingly, the listing also includes Neon Green and Cyber Orange. Are these just placeholders, or will TECNO offer more color variants on the local market soon?
As the name suggests, the smartphone’s biggest attraction is its curved AMOLED display. It boasts an impressive 144Hz refresh rate, to go along with FHD+ resolution and a peak brightness of 1,300 nits. It’s also protected by a sheet of Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for added durability. Additionally, the TECNO POVA Curve 5G comes with an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.

Another major talking point here is the processor. The Dimensity 7300 Ultimate is nearly identical to the standard version found in the realme 15 5G, with the key difference being optimizations for this specific TECNO model. Considering the said realme model starts at ₹25,999 ($297 or P16,846) in India, the POVA Curve 5G seems to offer better value — at least, from a performance standpoint.
For photography, the device features a 64-megapixel main sensor and a 13-megapixel punch-hole camera for selfies. Powering it is a 5,500mAh battery with support for 45-watt wired charging. TECNO has also secured TUV Rheinland’s battery-stamina certification for over 1,800 charging cycles, or about five years of actual use.
Wrapping things up, the TECNO POVA Curve 5G runs on Android 15-based HiOS 15, which includes several AI features like multilingual support, AI Auto Answer, AI Voiceprint Noise Suppression, and an AI Call Assistant with live translations and post-call summaries.
