Samsung PH debuts new monitors, including glasses-free Odyssey 3D

Samsung has launched its latest monitors in the Philippines, and it’s clear the Korean technology giant is aiming for two things — smarter work and more immersive play.

The new lineup is headlined by the Odyssey 3D, a gaming monitor that ditches the 3D glasses; the AI-powered Smart Monitor M9; and the sprawling 37-inch ViewFinity S7 for creators. Here’s a closer look at what’s hitting shelves.

Samsung Odyssey 3D: Gaming in a new dimension — no glasses required!

We’ve seen glasses-free 3D before, but rarely has it broken out of niche professional displays and into a mainstream gaming monitor. The Samsung Odyssey 3D changes that. This is a pure 4K gaming display that serves up high-definition 3D visuals without the clunky eyewear.

Having seen it in action at the launch, the tech is genuinely impressive — easily one of the best implementations of glasses-free 3D we’ve seen. It uses proprietary tech to generate a convincing sense of depth and even includes a 3D AI Video Conversion feature that can slap a 3D effect onto standard 2D videos.

If you’re intrigued by the promise of true 3D gaming — and your wallet is ready for a hit — the Odyssey 3D might be up your speed. It will set you back a cool P91,699, or roughly $1,620, in the Philippines.

Samsung Smart Monitor M9: The do-it-all display gets an AI brain

The Smart Monitor has always been Samsung’s pitch for a screen that can replace both your TV and PC monitor. The new M9, priced at P83,999 ($1,484) in the Philippines, leans heavily into that identity with a healthy dose of artificial intelligence.

At its core is Samsung Vision AI. This powers features like 4K AI Upscaling Pro, which is another way of saying it sharpens lower-res content, making old videos look crisp on its gorgeous OLED panel. It also packs an Active Voice Amplifier Pro that uses AI to analyze your room’s ambient noise and boosts dialogue in movies or shows, ensuring you never miss a word.

For gamers, the M9 doesn’t skimp either. You get a 165Hz refresh rate, native compatibility with both NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro to minimize screen tearing, and the near-instantaneous 0.03ms response time that OLED tech is famous for.

Samsung ViewFinity S7: A giant canvas for creatives

For graphic artists, video editors, and anyone who lives in creative software, Samsung is rolling out the ViewFinity S7. Priced at P28,049 ($495) on the local market, its main draw is its sheer scale — that massive 37-inch 4K screen. That’s a full five inches larger than a standard 32-inch display, giving you a true UHD experience without needing to scale your interface just to read text or spreadsheets.

As you’d expect from a creator-focused monitor, color is king. With 99% sRGB coverage and HDR10 support, this monitor is built to display colors as they were intended — a non-negotiable for professional work. And to combat eye strain during those late-night editing sessions, the TUV-certified Intelligent Eye Care feature automatically adjusts brightness and color temperature based on your surroundings, while Eye Saver mode cuts down on blue light and screen flicker.
