Xiaomi sub-brand POCO is kicking off its seventh-anniversary celebration with a bang, dropping two new entertainment-focused midrangers — the POCO M7 and POCO M7 Pro.
The smartphones are the main event for the POCO Carnival 2025, a festival with the theme “Ride Bold, Win Loud” that underscores the brand’s knack for packing some serious specs into aggressively priced devices.
In the Philippines, the POCO Carnival 2025 goes live from August 22 to August 23 on Lazada, followed by a run on Shopee from August 25 to August 26. This is your chance to get not just the new M7 series at a discount, but also other models like the flagship POCO F7 Ultra we reviewed earlier this year, all with exclusive promotions up for grabs.
Locally, the POCO M7 is priced from P7,499 (around $131) for the 6GB/128GB/ variant, with an introductory price of P6,999 ($123) on Shopee, where the phone will be exclusively available. The 8GB/256GB model, meanwhile, costs P8,499 ($149) and enjoys the same P500 ($9) discount as the base version. The POCO M7 Pro is priced at P10,999 ($193) and P11,999 ($211) for the 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB kits, respectively, but you can get it for P1,000 ($18) less for a limited time at this year’s POCO Carnival sale.

POCO Carnival 2025 announcement
The standard POCO M7 is built for marathon binge-watching sessions. Its main draw is a massive 6.9-inch FHD+ LCD display — the largest ever in the M series — which also boasts a fluid 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 4G chip, but perhaps the more notable spec here is the giant 7,000mAh cell that supports 33-watt wired charging. The M7 even doubles as a power bank with its 18-watt reverse wired charging.
According to POCO’s internal tests, the smartphone’s battery lasts up to 2.32 days with regular use, offering up to 28 hours of video playback, 29 hours of reading, or 46 hours of call time.
Stepping up to the POCO M7 Pro gets you a more premium experience. It swaps the LCD for a vibrant 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with HDR10 support and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It’s powered by a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7025-Ultra, bringing 5G connectivity to the table.
And while the device’s 5,110mAh battery is smaller, it charges faster at 45 watts. The Pro model also flexes its photography muscles with a 50-megapixel main camera featuring a Sony IMX882 sensor and a wide f/1.5 aperture lens. It adds a dose of durability with an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance, too.
Of course, the recently launched M7 series isn’t the only star of the show. The POCO Carnival 2025 will also feature deals on the popular POCO F7, POCO F6, and POCO X7 lineups, catering to a wider range of budgets and needs. If you’ve been waiting for the right time to upgrade, this is probably it. The combination of new releases and platform-exclusive discounts makes this a great opportunity to buy a new handset.
