HUAWEI‘s newest crop of smartwatches has officially landed in the Philippines. Say hello to the HUAWEI Watch GT 6, the premium HUAWEI Watch GT 6 Pro, and the ultra-luxe HUAWEI Watch Ultimate 2, a fresh trio succeeding last year’s GT 5 models.

This new wave of wearables introduces stylish designs with improved durability and build quality, longer battery life, and a boatload of new health features. Powering the whole operation is the company’s own HarmonyOS 6.0, promising smoother performance and more customization options. Plus, HUAWEI is finally offering a bigger, better variety of band styles and colorways to choose from this time around.

Philippine pricing and availability

In the Philippines, the base Watch GT 6 starts at P13,999 or around $242, while the Watch GT 6 Pro is priced from P18,999 ($328).

Preorders are already live on the official HUAWEI online store and at physical retailers nationwide. As usual, the brand is going all out with the preorder bonuses. Buyers can get vouchers worth up to P3,500 ($60), a pair of HUAWEI FreeBuds SE 2 wireless earbuds valued at P1,599 ($28), a stainless-steel thermos, and a three-month subscription to HUAWEI Health Plus.

For the flagship Watch Ultimate 2, you’ll have to wait just a little longer. Preorders for this top-tier model start October 10, with first sales scheduled for October 24. Local pricing for this Ultimate is still under wraps, but expect it to sit well above its GT siblings. For reference, the original HUAWEI Watch Ultimate was priced at P45,999 ($794) at launch.

HUAWEI Watch GT 6

Kicking off with the standard version, the HUAWEI Watch GT 6 comes in two sizes — a compact 41mm and a more substantial 46mm, both rocking an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.

The smaller model sports a sharp 1.32-inch 466 x 466 AMOLED screen. The larger watch keeps the same resolution but stretches the display to a more visible 1.47 inches. The aesthetic keeps the angular, geometric look from last year, but the finish feels noticeably more polished and refined this time.

Feature-wise, the GT 6 boasts an improved GPS that HUAWEI claims is 20% more accurate than the previous generation. The company also improved its familiar TruSense system with all-day Heart Rate Variability or HRV monitoring, better sleep tracking, and faster emotion and stress detection, including a new “two-dimensional emotion detection” feature.

A look at the HUAWEI Watch GT 6

Fitness fanatics get two new sport modes: skiing and cycling. The Cycling mode, in particular, looks useful, offering a virtual power metric and automatic detection for when you start and stop your ride. Oh, and for extra peace of mind, there’s a fall-detection function that automatically initiates a call for help if needed.

The battery life gets an upgrade, too, thanks to a high-silicon stacked special-shaped battery, which HUAWEI claims offers 65% higher capacity than the GT 5 lineup. The 46mm Watch GT 6 can reportedly hit 21 days of light usage, with a typical battery life of 13 days. The smaller 41mm model is rated for eight days of regular use, or 14 days of light use. That’s impressive longevity no matter how you look at it.

HUAWEI Watch GT 6 Pro

Stepping up to the HUAWEI Watch GT 6 Pro gets you some hardware upgrades. This Pro model is built around a single 46mm case and features a 1.47-inch, 466 x 466 AMOLED display — a slight increase over its predecessor — capable of delivering up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness.

Durability is another key selling point here, as this variant is kitted out with sapphire-crystal glass up front, an aerospace-grade titanium alloy case, and a nanocrystal ceramic back to keep it tough yet relatively light. Beyond the standard IP69 and 6 ATM water resistance, the Pro model is certified for 40m freediving, cementing its status as the ideal companion for serious aquatic activities.

Feature parity is high. The Pro gets all the core improvements of the standard GT 6, plus a few exclusive extras. These include new trail running, freediving, and golf modes. There’s also a special app that monitors and alerts you to irregular heartbeats while providing detailed ECG information.
