The rumors are true: HONOR is indeed gearing up to introduce a new member of its “splashtastic” X series on the local market. The company has just confirmed the HONOR X7d is heading to the Philippines on October 14, following the phone’s global debut in August.

The X7d is the direct successor to last year’s HONOR X7c, a device that made a splash — literally — with its “all-angle water-resistant” design and attractive P8,999 (roughly $155) price tag.

While we’re still waiting on those crucial local pricing and availability details, the good news is that we already know what this model is packing. HONOR isn’t messing with a winning formula on the durability front, but it’s clearly focused on improving the battery mileage as well. The HONOR X7d is rocking a larger 6,500mAh cell that still handles respectable 35-watt wired fast charging.

Of course, durability remains the headline feature. The smartphone boasts SGS 5-star certification for drop survival and is rated IP65, which means it’s totally sealed against dust and can shrug off water jets — perfect for life’s inevitable mishaps.

Elsewhere, most of the core specs are carried over from the previous generation. You’re looking at a smooth 120Hz LCD display, the same massive 108-megapixel main camera sensor, and that familiar 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 4G chipset with Adreno 610 graphics. Naturally, there’s a software refresh, with the HONOR X7d shipping with MagicOS 9.0 layered on top of Android 15.

We’re crossing our fingers that all the international color options — Desert Gold, Ocean Cyan, Meteor Silver, and Velvet Black — make their way to the Philippine launch. We’ll know for sure soon.
