If you thought gaming phones had peaked with RGB fans and see-through backplates, Redmagic just held its beer. The company announced the global launch of its Golden Saga Limited Edition Collection, and it is exactly as over-the-top as it sounds.
We are talking about the Redmagic 11 Pro Golden Saga and the Redmagic Astra Gaming Tablet Golden Saga. Both devices are draped in aerospace-grade sapphire glass and carbon fiber, but the standout detail lies inside: The nubia gaming subbrand is using real gold and silver in the cooling system. Yes, actual precious metals. And no, Redmagic claims it isn’t just a flex for collectors.

Its pitch here is thermal conductivity. Gold (317W/mK) and silver (429W/mK) are excellent conductors of heat. By integrating a gold-silver composite into the thermal channel and using a gold-plated vapor chamber, Redmagic says these devices can transfer heat away from the processor faster than standard copper or graphite solutions.
It’s a fascinating, if expensive, engineering solution to thermal throttling. Whether you need gold to keep your frame rates stable in Genshin Impact is debatable, but you can’t deny the ambition behind trying it.
Redmagic 11 Pro Golden Saga
The smartphone itself is a beast. It’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Redmagic’s own RedCore R4 gaming chip.
Here is where it gets interesting for those following the specs closely. In China, the device launched as the Redmagic 11 Pro Plus, featuring 120-watt charging. For the international market, it’s branded as the Redmagic 11 Pro with slightly slower 80-watt charging.
However, we seemingly get the better deal on the battery. The global Golden Saga edition packs a huge 7,500mAh battery, matching the capacity of the high-end Chinese “Plus” model rather than the smaller battery usually found in standard Pro variants.
Key specs at a glance:
- Chip: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
- Display: 1.5K True Full-Screen (no notch, under-display camera)
- Build: Sapphire glass back (Mohs 9 hardness), carbon fiber, mirror-silver frame
- Cooling: AquaCore liquid cooling with gold-silver channels
Redmagic Astra Gaming Tablet Golden Saga
Launching alongside the phone is the Astra tablet. This one’s built for “maximum framerate consistency” with a 20,000 RPM Turbofan inside.
The Astra Gaming Tablet Golden Saga supports native gameplay up to 165Hz for titles like Minecraft and 144Hz for Call of Duty: Mobile and League of Legends: Wild Rift. Like the handset, it gets the carbon fiber and sapphire glass treatment, plus a dual-layer gold-plated vapor chamber.

Pricing and availability
This is where you might want to sit down. While official global pricing will be announced at the launch on Jan. 19, 2026, we can look at the Chinese debut for a hint. The Redmagic 11 Pro Golden Saga with 24GB RAM and 1TB storage is priced at ¥9,899 in China.
That converts to roughly $1,420, or around P84,448 before we even talk about local taxes and duties. For context, the standard, non-gold Astra tablet usually retails around the $649 mark, so expect the Golden Saga tablet to carry a hefty premium as well. The good news for us? The Philippines is explicitly listed in the Asia-Pacific rollout plan.
The Redmagic 11 Pro Golden Saga and the Redmagic Astra Gaming Tablet Golden Saga will be available for preorder starting Jan. 19, and they come in a “Collector’s Bundle” that includes a magnetic cooler for the phone, a Kevlar case, and a numbered VIP card. So, if you have ever looked at your phone and thought, “This thing needs more precious metals inside,” your time has finally come.
