Last year, the HONOR X9c 5G survived being boiled in our video. This year, the stakes for the HONOR X9d 5G were higher: a collision with a Tesla Cybertruck.

Spoiler alert: The smartphone survived.

HONOR‘s latest rugged handset takes durability to another level. We spent weeks treating this device less like a phone and more like a hammer — cracking chestnuts, dropping it from shoulder height, and running it over. Thanks to an IP69K rating, the highest dust and water resistance available in the industry, and a dedicated Underwater camera mode, you can finally ditch the waterproof bag at the pool.

So, is the HONOR X9d 5G the ultimate worry-free daily driver? The specs sheet says yes, but seeing is believing. Watch our full video review to see the guantlet of torture-tests unleashed on our unit, and find out why it is so durable. More importantly, see if it can be the everyday phone you’ll actually love to use.

The HONOR X9d 5G enters the Philippines with a suggested retail price of P18,999 (approximately $320) for the lone 12GB/256GB configuration. It is available in stores and through the company’s official channels on Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok Shop in three finishes: Midnight Black, Sunrise Gold, and a Reddish Brown option with a faux-leather back.

For early adopters, a time-limited promotion running through January 23 drops the cost to P17,999 ($303). Given that the HONOR X9d 5G packs the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset and that substantial 8,300mAh battery under the hood, that pricing is pretty aggressive for the segment.

Team REVU Founded by Alora Uy Guerrero and Ramon "Monch" Lopez, REVU Philippines is the product of 42 combined years in the media trenches — long enough to see gadgets rise, platforms fall, and deadlines multiply. Between them, they've shaped content for Yahoo, T3, Techie, TV5, MEGA, GadgetMatch, and Gadgets, with a few strategic side quests in retail, PR, and marketing. We're a lean team, which means no filler and no fluff, just the stories worth telling. Between chasing kids, specs, and the perfect camera angle, we brew coffee, shoot content, play video games, watch hoops, blast our favorite bands, and somehow still hit our deadlines. REVU is our passion project, built on the belief that tech journalism should have as much style as it does substance — and preferably enough caffeine to power a small server farm.
