Infinix has announced a new contender in the smartphone arena, debuting the Infinix NOTE Edge as the world’s first handset powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G chipset.
A device that seemingly doesn’t compromise design for battery life, it is expected to carry a global price tag of roughly $200, though costs will vary by region.
In the Philippines, this model is expected to land with an aggressive price point of around P10,000. This would slot the Infinix NOTE Edge comfortably under the brand’s performance-focused GT gaming series, making it a compelling option for budget-conscious users who prioritize battery endurance and sleek aesthetics over raw performance and frame rates.
The chassis is just 7.2mm thick and weighs a manageable 185 grams. While thin phones often compromise on capacity, the NOTE Edge bucks the convention by housing a large 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery inside.
This isn’t just a standard cell, either. The company claims it features a “self-repairing” system powered by dynamic recrystallization to maintain health over time. Infinix says this technology allows the battery to retain over 80% of its capacity after 2,000 charge cycles, which equates to about six years of normal usage.

Visually, the device embraces an upper-midrange aesthetic with a “3D curved” design wrapped in a Pearl Light Ripple Shadow exterior. It’s IP65-certified for dust and water resistance, and will ship in four colorways, namely Lunar Titanium, Shadow Black, Silk Green, and Stellar Blue.
On the front, you are looking at a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display. It keeps up with modern standards using a 120Hz refresh rate and boasts a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. Protecting that panel is Corning’s Gorilla Glass 7i.
Under the hood, the Infinix NOTE Edge is the first handset to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G chipset. This octa-core processor uses four Cortex-A78 performance cores operating at up to 2.4GHz and four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores at 2.0GHz. Graphics are handled by the Mali-G610MC2 GPU. Memory options include 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM, paired with either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 flash storage.
The phone ships with a custom overlay based on Android 16 right out of the box. Even better, the company has committed to three major OS updates and five years of security patches, ensuring the software lives as long as that durable battery.
