OPPO has launched the OPPO Find X9 Ultra and OPPO Find X9s globally, finally rolling the red carpet for its heavy-hitting photography flagships after months of teasing and waiting.
Just like the OPPO Find N6, both smartphones are confirmed to arrive in the Philippines as well, though local pricing has yet to be finalized.
If you want a solid ballpark figure, our neighbors in Malaysia already have their retail price tags. The powerhouse OPPO Find X9 Ultra commands RM6,799 (around ₱103,362 or $1,719) for the 12GB/512GB configuration and RM7,799 (₱118,574 or $1,972) for the maxed-out 16GB/1TB kit. Meanwhile, the more accessible OPPO Find X9s starts at RM3,899 (₱59,280 or $986) for its sole 12GB/512GB variant.
OPPO Find X9 Ultra: Built for the perfect shot
We at REVU managed to clock in some hands-on time with the Find X9 Ultra during OPPO’s preview event in the Philippines, and the cameras are indeed impressive. To be fair, we expected nothing less from the brand’s first Ultra model aimed at an international audience.
Physically, this phone is an absolute tank. It’s big, dense, and frankly a bit unwieldy. But that physical footprint is completely understandable once you look at the back. It sports a gargantuan camera module — and it’s huge for a very good reason.
OPPO has crammed a Hasselblad-tuned quad-camera system in there that reads like a spec-sheet fantasy. It’s unprecedented for a mobile device, featuring a 200-megapixel main sensor with a sizable 1/1.12-inch footprint, a 200-megapixel telephoto shooting at 3x optical, a 50-megapixel ultra-telephoto capable of 10x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide.
OPPO Find X9 Ultra at a glance
So, what does all this crazy hardware actually mean for your everyday shooting? Simply put, it gives you a ridiculous amount of versatility. If you’re taking portraits, you’re getting creamy, DSLR-like bokeh that naturally separates your subject from the background. If you’re stuck in the nosebleeds at a concert, you can crop right into the stage without the image turning into a muddy mess. Even when the lights drop, the imaging system here doesn’t break a sweat. It just handles everything you throw at it, and the results should consistently be phenomenal.
Under the hood, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra doesn’t cut any corners, as expected. It’s powered by Qualcomm’s cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, making it fly through demanding tasks. That silicon is paired with a gorgeous 6.82-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Keeping the lights on is a 7,050mAh battery, supported by super-fast 100-watt SUPERVOOC charging and 50-watt wireless charging.
OPPO Find X9s: Flagship experience for less
To clarify the current lineup, the OPPO Find X9s sits directly beneath the regular OPPO Find X9 in the global market, making it the company’s most affordable flagship to date. We’ve actually been using it as our daily driver, so keep an eye out for our full review dropping later this week.
At first glance, it looks exactly like the Find X9. The device shares roughly the same dimensions and 202-gram weight as its predecessor. In fact, you’d be hard-pressed to tell the Find X9 and Find X9s apart side by side. That’s a huge point in the newer phone’s favor, considering how well-built the OPPO flagship is, and how premium it feels in the hands.

For optics, the X9s rocks a highly capable triple 50-megapixel Hasselblad-branded array. You get a 50-megapixel main shooter, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom. It might lack the 200-megapixel shooter of its bigger sibling, but the practical benefits are still there. That 3x telephoto is perfect for taking flattering, natural-looking travel portraits that punch past distracting crowds, while the large 1/1.56-inch main sensor pulls in more than enough light to keep your night shots clean and vivid.
Performance-wise, the OPPO Find X9s trades Qualcomm’s silicon for MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9500s processor, which is pretty much a rebranded Dimensity 9400 Plus. Navigating the interface on the 6.59-inch 120Hz FHD+ LTPS AMOLED display feels fast and fluid. Battery anxiety shouldn’t be an issue here either, as the technology giant packed a hefty 7,025mAh cell into that sleek metal frame, paired with 80-watt SUPERVOOC wired charging to get you back up to full in a pinch.
