realme is throwing everything at the wall with its newest lineup in the Philippines. The realme 16 Series 5G officially dropped via livestream today, April 23, bringing three new smartphones that pair large battery capacities with serious camera hardware.
Let’s talk price first, because that’s what you’re really here for. The lineup is available nationwide now. The base realme 16 5G with 8GB RAM and 256GB starts at ₱25,999 (roughly $430). Stepping up to the realme 16 Pro 5G will set you back ₱31,999 ($529) for the 8GB/256GB model or ₱37,999 ($628) for the 12GB/512GB variant. The 12GB/512GB version of the top-tier realme 16 Pro Plus 5G tops out at ₱43,999 ($728).
If you’re quick on the draw, preordering between April 23 and April 30 gives you up to ₱8,900 ($147) in total perks. That bundle includes your choice of a free realme Buds Air7 or a realme Watch S2, a 5,000mAh power bank, a privilege card, and a discount of up to ₱2,000 ($33). Meanwhile, Shopee buyers who purchase from April 23 to May 5 can enjoy up to ₱9,000 ($149) off — bringing the base model down to ₱22,499 ($372) — and score a free AKASO EK7000 series action camera.
So, what are you getting for that cash? For starters, all three models pack a 7,000mAh battery. To keep you from waiting around all day by a wall outlet, the realme 16 Pro Plus 5G and realme 16 Pro 5G support 80-watt SUPERVOOC charging.
The brand’s also leaning hard into the creator lifestyle. The Pro phones sport a 200-megapixel Multi-focal LumaColor camera system, with the Pro Plus adding a 50-megapixel 3.5x telephoto lens to the mix. The standard realme 16 5G isn’t slouching either, packing a dual 50-megapixel setup powered by a Sony IMX852 sensor. Plus, they’re loaded with artificial-intelligence tools like AI Edit Genie 2.0 and AI Portrait Glow for faster post-processing — perfect for trying to replicate the kind of flawless aesthetic you’d see on realme brand ambassador Kathryn Bernardo’s feed. If you want to have a little more fun with your shots, there’s also an AI Photo Popout feature and Vibe Master mode.

Under the hood, the realme 16 Pro Plus 5G runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, while the Pro gets MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 Max. Both are equipped with an Airflow Vapor Chamber Cooling System to keep things chilled out during long gaming or shooting sessions. The non-Pro relies on a Dimensity 6400 Turbo.

If you’re prone to dropping your unit in weird places, the entire series comes with an alphabet soup of durability ratings: IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K. That means these devices are highly resistant to just about any dust or water exposure you can throw at them.
Visually, the Pro models feature bright AMOLED displays that peak at 6,500 nits and hit 144Hz refresh rates. The regular variant scales that back slightly to a 120Hz AMOLED panel, but adds a quirky built-in Selfie Mirror on the back panel of its Air White and Air Black colorways. The Pro Plus comes exclusively in Master Gold, while the Pro is available in Pebble Grey and Orchid Purple.
