If your local Starbucks app gets as much of a workout as ours during long technology launch events or while finalizing a 90‑second video script, you know how crucial those Stars are.
For years, we’ve all been at the mercy of the automatic 100‑Star voucher system. However, starting July 21, 2026, Starbucks Philippines is finally giving us what we’ve been waiting for — and by that, we mean actual choices.
The company is retiring the old system and launching a brand‑new app that introduces a multitier rewards system. No more being handed a reward you don’t want just because you hit a certain threshold.
Here’s how the Starbucks PH app’s new Star tiers break down:
- 50 Stars: Get a free drink customization, excluding a breve and 2 oz of heavy cream. Alternatively, grab a bagel, a banana‑loaf slice, or a glazed or chocolate‑dipped doughnut.
- 100 Stars: Redeem for any handcrafted beverage or bakery item, except the Coffee Traveler Kit, French Press, and Reserve Ice Cream drinks.
- 150 Stars: Redeem for any pasta, sandwich, or cake slice.
To get in on this, you’ll need to download the new Starbucks PH app rolling out July 21 on the App Store and Google Play for iOS and Android, respectively, as the previous app is being discontinued. Fortunately, you won’t lose your hard‑earned Stars or load balance; existing account credentials migrate automatically, so current members don’t need to re‑register.

Additionally, you’ll notice significantly faster sign‑ins and live Star tracking the second you open the new interface. On the flip side, the Mobile Order & Pay feature is taking a short break for the initial launch, but it should return in a future patch.
Perhaps the best part of the revamp is that the 90‑day expiration timer on your voucher only starts when you choose to issue the reward in the app, giving you much more control over when you enjoy your perks. Just keep in mind that unconverted Stars still expire annually on your account’s registration anniversary date.
