HUAWEI Philippines’ open-ear audio lineup is getting a little more colorful. The company has announced that the HUAWEI FreeClip 2, the C-bridge earbuds we reviewed earlier this year, is now available in Berry Purple.
If you’ve been considering open-ear earbuds that double as a style accessory, the new shade adds a bit more personality to the design. The Berry Purple HUAWEI FreeClip 2 retails for ₱9,999 (roughly $159) and is available now through HUAWEI’s online and offline stores. Early buyers can also get freebies worth up to ₱1,478 ($24), including a one-year HUAWEI Loss Care plan valued at ₱479 ($8) and a clip-on accessory worth ₱999 ($16), with butterfly, star and snowflake designs to choose from.
HUAWEI FreeClip 2 price and promo
We spent a good amount of time with the FreeClip 2 back in February, and our main takeaway remains the same: They are remarkably comfortable. The brand’s “Never Feel, Never Fall” tagline may sound like typical product-speak, but the HUAWEI FreeClip 2’s design does deliver a secure, pressure-free fit. Its shape-memory alloy adapts to the contours of your ear, while the open-ear design lets you stay aware of what’s happening around you — useful when navigating Metro Manila traffic or keeping an ear out for an announcement at work.
Under the hood, the hardware remains unchanged. The Berry Purple edition has the same adaptive open-ear listening technology, powered by an NPU processor and dual-diaphragm driver that adjusts audio based on your surroundings. For calls, a three-microphone system works with bone-conduction sensors to help filter out background noise.
The earbuds likewise retain their IP57 rating for dust and water resistance, so they can handle a sweaty gym session or an unexpected afternoon downpour. Battery life remains rated for up to 38 hours with the charging case, while a 10-minute charge can provide up to three hours of playback.
At its core, this is a new look rather than a hardware upgrade. The HUAWEI FreeClip 2 already takes a different approach to the familiar earbud form factor, and the glossy Berry Purple finish gives it an even stronger fashion-forward character. For anyone who wants their everyday audio gear to be a little more expressive, the new colorway offers another way to make the FreeClip 2 part of the outfit, not just the playlist.
