Infinix has spent the past few years steadily outgrowing its reputation as just a smartphone brand. After pushing into laptops, tablets, and smart TVs, the Transsion Holdings subsidiary is making a pivot into home power. The company has announced the Infinix XEnergy, a new line of portable power stations aimed at keeping everyday gadgets and home essentials running during blackouts and off-grid trips.
The lineup kicks off with two models set to officially arrive in the Philippines on Oct. 10: the Infinix XEnergy L1000 and the smaller Infinix XEnergy S320.
Leading the pack is the L1000, a station designed to pull double duty as a home backup unit and a solar generator. It handles inputs from wall outlets, batteries, and solar panels, pushing out up to 500 watts through a mix of AC and DC sockets. For anyone working from home who dreads sudden grid dropouts, Infinix has fitted the L1000 with an uninterruptible power supply feature that switches to battery in less than 20 milliseconds — quick enough that your desktop or Wi-Fi router shouldn’t restart mid-Zoom call.
For lighter, mobile use, the S320 downsizes the footprint into a lunchbox-style package weighing 3.3 kilograms. Inside sits a 100,000 milliamp-hour (320-watt-hour) cell built primarily for multidevice DC charging, catering to weekend campers or remote workers setting up at an outdoor café without a wall plug in sight.
Coming soon: Infinix XEnergy L1000 and XEnergy S320. The press release says Oct. 10
Entering the portable power category is a shrewd play for Infinix, particularly across emerging markets in Southeast Asia where erratic weather and sudden power interruptions remain a frustrating fact of life. Rather than trying to out-muscle premium, heavy-duty competitors on large inverter wattage, Infinix is sticking to its familiar playbook: delivering practical, entry-level utility tailored to daily personal electronics.
Infinix has not yet shared the local retail price for either model, but full availability details are expected when the Infinix XEnergy L1000 and the Infinix XEnergy S320 officially debut on Oct. 10.
